I know you're not supposed to do this, but how bad is it really? I don't mean EVERY day, but a few consecutive days can't hurt, right?
Ones anyone else run on consecutive days?

Starting out, it is actually better to run with at least one rest day in between. Mainly because for beginners and having never ran before, going out and running without allowing your body to recover can lead to stress fractures, shin splints, runner's knee, and many other injuries that would only cause degression instead of progression.
Once you have developed a 3 day running base, then you can bring in more days. Using the same slow process of building up more and more as you go along.
For example, I now run 4 days a week, and I run back to back on Mon and Tues. My Monday run is 3 miles, but my Tuesday run is only 1 mile. Next week it will go to 2, but I have been with that 1 mile run since March. Why? Because my body was only used to running three days a week, and it needed to adjust as my running increased.0 -
I tried doing this and and felt it was too much for my body. I started to feel pains in my ankles and knees, and then I ended up having to take a few days off to recover. Every other day is better for me. I do 30-40 minutes on the treadmill (very slowly!).
It's even harder on your body if you're running on pavement, so I wouldn't even consider that at this point.0 -
The last time I started the program I felt good so I did W1 everyday for 5 days and then ended off for a few days with shin splints. No bueno. :sad:0
