For a years I had to use the ladder or steps to get out of the pool after swimming.

About a month ago I could finally lift out to sit and get out after 90(4.11km) laps.
Last weekend I was able to lift out to knee after 110 laps (5km). That is a big Biden deal for me.

I hear you. And its caused a smile.

I have at times resembled a seal trying to climb out the pool.

If you ever get to the foot that the young guns do, I'll be so jealous.

    Congrats

Great NSV! I'm still swimming to the ladder. Oh well.

I swim next to the high school swim team many days. There are a couple of guys that jump from the bottom of the pool up to the deck and land on their feet. I know I'll NEVER reach that point. But I did love the day when I could put my foot on the deck and step out.

My 14 year old son, who swims every day in a class called Aquatics for Life (a wonderful class, in my opinion) can lift himself out of the water with his hands on the deck and lifting himself up backwards so that his rump hits the deck. He's amazing.

But, he still can't go under without holding his nose. I am trying to teach him to trust himself and start face bubbling.
