Since going gluten free (I have celiacs) I have found that low fat & light products contain gluten or don't taste good :( Looking at my food logs I find that my salad dressing is high in calories & fat. Do you know of any light or lower fat gluten free salad dressing that tastes good ? Thanks

I find that good old balsamic vinegar and olive oil work for me. Its healthy fat, which you need anyways to help break down the nutrients in the veggies in your salad. Acid before oil- pour what you want, no need to premix the two.

Or, does your local grocer carry Renee salad dressings? Many are gluten free and/or dairy free. There are a few 1/2 the fat and low cal versions in their line. I dont really worry about fat unless its coming from deep fried or processed foods so I am not too sure how they taste. The low calorie dressings tend to be high in sugars so I dont bother personally.
  • I actually just answered a question about salad dressing the other day lol. :) It wasn't about gluten free dressing, just low calorie. The dressing that I use and love is Ken's Steak House Lite Italian with Basil and Romano Dressing. It has 45 calories for two tablespoons, plus it is delicious and gluten free! :)
