I am 64 and I suffer from chronic pain and fibromyalgia and was told to try and lose some weight and do some exercise. This is my attempt at trying to increase my quality of life in my retirement years. If you are interested join me and lets support one another

I will be glad to be a member of this group. Sorry to hear that you were injured so badly and that it took so long for you to recover. I have lengthy illnesses at times also when I cannot exercise and the pounds come on easily. Medications do not help either. They are why I am doing this. I also suffer from chronic pain and have been trying to get back in shape from being sedentary for most of the past 3 years due to illness. I have RA which is mild in comparison to most people"s. However my right knee and ankle hurt constantly. I realize that if I don't move my body now I may not be able to later on. I am new to MFP also and can already tell a big difference in how well I feel once again in the past two weeks.0
