symptoms worse during PMS?

I've always had pretty regular periods, with pms varying from minor to severe. Since stopping birth control 4 months back it has been better, but I always gain weight, my skin flips out a bit, and I'm tired/mood swings.
I've been on armour for 2.5 weeks, the first week I was starting to feel better, losing weight and less tired. But as soon as my PMS kicked in everything got worse, I shot up 7 pounds, and its a daily struggle not to sleep all day.
I don't go back till mid June, so won't know if I just need to up my dose. But does anyone else have this issue?
btw, I'm only 24 so not pre menopause lol

I got off my bc after diagnosis too and I'm still adjusting. Have always had the mood swings, so I'm not sure if it's due to Hypothyroidism or not. I know it doesn't help though. My skin was pretty clear on the bc, but now that I'm off it is constantly flipping out. Some days I am more exhausted than others. Did a hormone test (saliva) and found out my estrogen was way low, which could account for the skin problem (and the others too, I'm sure). I haven't been treating it long enough to really say if there is much improvement though.

There is definitely a link between all of the hormones in our bodies. When one is out of balance the others will be too. The BC probably masked this effect. ALL of my sex hormones are under the basement including testosterone so I supplement with bio-identical hormone replacement. I take HCG shots 4 days out of the month which helps to regulate my estrogen and progesterone. Since taking the shots my PMS has not totally gone away but most of my symptoms are controlled especially migraine headaches. I found a doctor who specializes in Napro Technology. You can google it for more info if you are interested. Good luck! P.S. There is also a diet called the PMS Diet (by Guy Abraham I think) which is supposed to help also. It emphasizes cutting out sugar/refined foods and recommends various vitamins/supplements.
