We all know some of the food isn't the greatest... but I have seen so many recipes online that make something that is not awesome... to great!
Any personal tweaks or tips? A few of mine would be... I soak most things in water in the fridge over night, even the powdered shakes, the soups, the chilis and the Mac and cheese! When I soak the Mac and cheese, the noodles get big and thick and AMAZING! I love to throw hot sauce in everything to haha. The chicken noodle soup is awesome soaked in low sodium chicken broth instead as well!
Today with my cream of broccoli soup, I made fried zucchini! I cut a zucchini into thin slices, tossed them in a little olive oil, uses up a condiment, then tossed them in the soup powder... let it marinate in the fridge for 10 minutes and preheat the oven to 400... bake them about 12 minutes... until crispy. AWESOME! This recipe goes out to Sandy's Kitchen! Amazing website!
Anyone else?

Oh man, I bought bottles of franks red hot at Sam's Club, because.... well... you know the slogan.
I'm a soaker, too. When I'm at work, I will set out two or three of my meals and about 45 minutes before my next meal, I'll add hot water (key!!!) to the foods to soak, and then I only have to put it in the microwave for about 60 seconds. The only downside is that I still have to supervise the food in case of a boil-over.
My favorite helper to get rid of the eggs, which I couldn't stomach, were to split a pouch with any pancake mix, and make two servings, and add a dash of baking powder. Add about 2oz water and make crepes with them. I would use natural peanut butter and lite/fat free cool whip, and that would be a great dessert for me.0 -

That sounds amazing! I have my first order of pancakes on the way! This, I will try.0 -
Here is one of my favorite tweaks. I make bread out of the cream of chicken soup. I use one packet. I add two egg whites and mix it really well. I spray a pie plate with Pam. Put the mixture on the bottom of the plate (covering the bottom) and bake it at 350 for 15 minutes (isn?). When I take it out it's like a flat bread and I use it as a wrap. I add some spinach with vinaigrette dressing, cucumbers etc. It's pretty good0

I too hated the eggs. I thought I would never use them after one try. Then I found a custard recipe mixed the eggs with pudding plus a little Stevia and 1 C water (I substituted SF vanilla or other flavor syrup). Baked for about 15-18 minutes at 350. Made 2 desserts/meals. I would eat it warm with 1-2 T of lite or fat free cool whip. Great end of day fueling. I think that became my favorite toward the end.
I too was a soaker. I used to make my chicken noodle soup with low sodium broth and soak for at least a day. Chili - always at least a day (didn't want to break a tooth).0 -
Does anyone have a "recipe" to use the Maryland Crab soup? I have a box left of this in my cabinet that I hate to see going to waste, but the smell and strong fishy flavor are a turnoff...and I LOVE seafood, so that's saying something, hehehe!0
