I have been on Keto diet for over 20 days with 1 week break in between (excluding the 20 days) and my periods are late. Anyone has any light to throw on this? Is it normal or should i go visit a doc. Periods are about 10 days late. I haven't had sex with anyone in past one month. Help please!!

As far as I know, it's pretty normal for a period to become irregular after a diet change. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Once you've been doing keto for longer I'm sure your body will adjust and things will start to look regular again.

Theres a number of things that will cause it to be late. pretty much any major changes, major changes in weight, diet, exercise, life changes, and the biggest one is stress. If your sure your not pregnant all I can say is wait and relax. Worrying about it is only gonna make it come even more late. Also if this is a drastic change for you, it is possible to skip a period. I've had it happen to me when I was in basic training years ago.

Your period will go wonky when you start keto. It may take a few months to sort itself out, but you'll probably find it becomes a lot better once your body gets used to keto. Mine got lighter, shorter, and fewer cramps and better mood.

I suspect 80% of that is simply due to not eating sugar, personally.
