Increased Calories from 1300 to 1700. Temporary Gain?

I was referred over here from the general weightloss forum with my question, so here we go:
I was eating 13-1400 calories total, ~1000 net if you count exercise. I also was on a bit of a binge/restrict cycle for a while, but mostly got that sorted out. I went to a dietitian, and she advised me to eat 1700 calories, do a bit less cardio, and start a lifting program. Now I eat 1700-1750 and net usually around 15-1600.
It has been 2 1/2 weeks, and I'm 7lbs up. I feel very doughy haha. I was wondering if it will level out and I can start to lose again. I know, I know, 2 weeks isn't a long time, but it's worrisome when you see the scale go up and pants get tighter! Also, the pounds aren't really a steady increase, like I was 140 at the start on 4/28, then at the end of the first week it jumped to 143.5 in a day. I was 144 Saturday morning, then Sunday morning I was 146. I weighed in today this morning at 147.2, I was 146.0 yesterday morning. There doesn't seem to be a downwards trend, and 7lbs in 2 1/2 weeks seems kinda ridiculous.
She recommended 50/25/25 as the macro ratio, and I've been pretty spot on.
Just wondering what you thought and if there's some sort of adjustment period before things start to neutralize. I was gonna give it a month, but at this rate, things don't look too great.

I would give it 2 months.
Also, yes. You likely are up in water weight a lot from the carbohydrates. Give your body some time to adjust and you can cut later if you need to.0
