I had rny surgery in 2003. I regained most of the weight back. I have considered revision. Has anyone had a revision or has any insight.

People who had RNY and go for a revision usually revise to the DS. I wish you the best.

No matter how small they make your stomach it still comes down to calories in calories out and exercise. Under going another major surgery because you didn't learn the first time.... I don't think I would take the chance. In our support group they talked about people who have a revision. The sad thing is that they don't get the honeymoon stage the second time around.

I am going to share my experience...which may not be yours but this is what is helped me:

I had VSG (Gastric sleeve) back in 2009 and didn't lose all my weight and actually gained some last year. What I had to fix was not my tummy....I had already done the most drastic thing that I was prepared to do....it was my head which comes PRIOR even to my relationship with food. I have been with a therapist who specializes in "disordered eating" for the last 1.5 years where the primary focus is fixing my relationship with myself....then and only then was I able to work on my relationship with food. It is like "painting the house" - the diet and exercise - which was not the point. I had to go back and work on the "foundation" of that house.

Best of luck to you :)

I want to thank everyone for the advice. I never been a bad or excessive eater. But though research I think if I can control stress it can only help. I have a therapist and a psychiatrist for 3 years. That when I started gaining. My doctors are saying my weight loss is good. (about 20 in five months) I guess Iwant instant gratification. One day at a time. Again thank you for allowing me to vent.:flowerforyou:
