Scared to eat more...

Ahoy (: I'm Kassie! Uhm. Well, I've been stalled bouncing around in the 190s so I was told to up my calorie intake. Why not, right? I like food. But..I guess I feel afraid to eat more. It sounds silly, I know. I just don't want my progress to be in vain. I follow the TDEE -20% method, lift 3x a week and do cardio, though I dislike cardio. I'm a vegetarian, also. Uhm, how quickly would I see results if I lifted and ate at this limit? Lately, it's been hard to get up to the number I set myself at. I'm so used to eating so much less, I feel kinda sick when I eat more or I feel bad about it.

Hi there, we usually suggest more like a 15% cut because 20% is so steep. Cardio we usually suggest HIIT session 20-30 min twice a week.
You have conditioned yourself to eat less and it takes time to condition yourself to eat normally again. Protein is very important....you may want to try Garden of Life Raw meal....not the tastiest, but it is vegan and provides 34 gr of protein. Try getting in 40c/30p&f.
Don't feel bad about eating. The key is to eat heatly whole foods, high in protein to feed those muscles.0 -

Eating more often will make that feel better probably, smaller meals until you get used to it.
Once metabolism starts to improve, most find their hunger increases. Usually in one day.
You don't need to do any cardio beyond walking if not desired. Of course, that impacts your TDEE, which is now lower, and that means eating less now. So for you, that sounds like a good thing.
You can include some better cardio later for those strict health benefits, but not needed for weight loss.
This would put you at Lightly Active rounded up to nearest 100 for TDEE, if your daily activity outside exercise is sedentary desk job.
Results in lifting or in weight loss or in fat loss?
Lifting and fat loss immediately, but if lifting is new then you'll have a bit of body improvement first, so the weight may take a while to catch up.0
