26.2 miles, the marathon0

13.1. Looking forward to beating that.0

So far, my farthest is 5.5 miles. I'm a new runner, and I'm training for my first marathon in October. I'm looking forward to much farther than that soon!0

My last 1/2 marathon i did 6 miles without walking. I'm training for the chicago marathon. walk breaks don't reallly bother me and reall don' seem to mess with my time much.0

Ditto. I haven't seen a reason, for me, to go beyond that.0 -
Marathon except that I walked through some of the water stops. Half marathon without stopping for water.0
-
10 miles...half training is up next with training runs up to 15 miles0
-
Marathon distance. Though I'm considering running an ultra or two0
-
So far 15 miles. But that is going to increase to 26.2 here in a couple of months!0

Mine is about 4...I joined this group because I signed up for a half in October and I figured this is the best place to get some great tips! I am not a natural runner...at ALL.0

I can and have run 20-milers with no walk breaks but have found that I perform better with a thirty second leg-stretching walk break every couple of miles (route dependent). Have tested it and my times remain similar. Only when running to break a PR will I not walk on a route.0

actually, you are! our bodies are designed specifically for distance running!0 -
The furthest I have run without breaking into a walk is about 17miles, while training for a marathon. My other longer "runs" have all contained (substantial) walks0

Well then I need to figure out how to get my head out of the way!! Slowly but surely, it's getting easier and easier...0 -

I hear ya'! I hated running growing up...but, you can rest assured it's mostly mental. Running long distances is actually something human beings are pretty good at. Go figure!)

I am up to 9 miles now, my half is in August0

26.2
I did a 50K once (31 miles), but I had to make a quick stop to apply some emergency butt chapstick...
I hate stopping when I run, too hard to get started again!0 -
So far I've only run 5K, I'm very new to running and to physical activity in general. I would love to do a marathon or even a half marathon someday.0

Although I have covered marathon distance twice, I was forced to walk both times. The first cause I totally bonked, the 2nd cause the heat was brutal. Sometimes I consider training for & running a 3rd just to not walk, even if its a slower time than my others. So to answer your question, I did a few 20 milersw/no walks. And one with no gels, just a little bit of water.0

5k here, multiple times. Just started running in February. You guys give me inspiration to take it further so I hope I can!0

13.1 for right now.0

10.7 miles so far; looking to up that to 12 miles this weekend, but will have to drop my running companion (Haley the 85 pound GS) at home at the 10 mile mark!0

18.5 miles is the longest so far. Marathon is June 22.0

I didn't walk at all during my 20 mile marathon training run.
When it came time to do the actual marathon, I did walk during water breaks during the second half and I walked a short amount when I was trying to eat some fuel. Otherwise I kept running because when I felt at my most tired, I reasoned that the faster I went, the sooner I would be DONE and could rest.0 -
Mine is just over 14 miles
going to attempt 15 tomorrow though. Wish me luck...

15 Miles a few weekends ago.
I have a hard time accepting that it is okay to walk...I somehow feel like I'm cheating, but the more I talk to hardcore runners(marathon and ultra-marathoners), they all say that they've walked at times...especially when trail running...so I'm trying to accept that it's okay!0 -
I've only been running for about two years (June 6 is my anniversary) and my interest is the Half so the longest I've run "this time around" is 14 miles.
However, in 1985 when I was a young (29 years old) paratrooper getting ready to go to Officer Candidate School, I decided to start running to get in shape for the 14 week school. There's an overpass on the All American Highway that runs into Ft. Bragg that was 6 miles from my barracks so I would run from the 'racks to the overpass and back. That's great exercise, no question, but spring time weather in North Carolina can be brutal.
I decided to run the Longstreet Run which went from the "downtown area" (the built up area) of Ft. Bragg out to the dropzones and back. A long way. All of 20.2 miles, in fact. I'd only been running a couple of months and had never run more than 12 miles so going to 20 was not an easy task.
I didn't do very well in the race but I did manage to finish in the top half of my age group (I'm pretty sure that my finish time was 2:45).
Something good did come out of the race, though — it was that evening, as I sat at a table at Chi Chi's (yes, that bastion of fine Mexican cuisine) that I decided to quit smoking.0 -

I'm slowly working up my endurance0 -
Probably 30 miles... but walking for me has nothing to do with running... chances are I 'burnt out' mainly because I didn't eat enough... I don't run with my phone, water or food either, one day I plan to change this...0
