I'm in an organic co-op and generally use the wholefoods store for any extras I want that are not in my weekly box but if I need something on the spur of the moment and can't get organic locally I check this list put out by the EWG on what has loads of nasty pesticides and I should avoid. For more info go to www.foodnews.org

DIRTY DOZEN - high levels of pesticides
Apples
Celery
Cherry Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Grapes
Hot Peppers
Nectarines
Peaches
Potatoes
Strawberries
Sweet Bell Peppers

PLUS - Pesticides of special concern
Collards & Kale
Summer squash & zucchini

CLEAN FIFTEEN
Asparagus
Avocado
Cabbage
Cantaloupe
Corn (though it's probably GMO)
Eggplant
Grapefruit
Kiwi
Mango's
Mushrooms
Onion
Papaya
Pineapple
Sweet peas (frozen)
Sweet Potatoes

Thanks for sharing this!!! I too get an organic box weekly and supplement with what I want extra. Good to know which ones you DEFINITELY need to buy organic.
