Confusion on net carbs

This may be going way over my head, but i read that net carbs are carbs minus dietary fiber. correct? if so when i look on the back of the box of the atkins carb bars, the carbs-dietary fiber do not equal what they advertise the net carbs are on the front. Am i missing something?

    You deduct fiber and sugar alcohols from the total carb count.
