Exercise

What is everyone doing for exercise?

I just started cardio classes at my local gym 2x a week. The other days I go and do cardio and some strength training. I did a HIIT workout Monday and will probably do that 2x a week on opposite days of my cardio class.

I have started P90X. I want to do a few sprint triathlons this year so instead of the yoga and kempo I am running.cycling those days. So basically swimming 3-4 times a week, spin class 3 times a week, running 2-3 times a week and doing 5 of the 7 P90X series. This is only my second week of P90X but I have been working out consistently every since I finished working on the cabin about 2 months ago. Feels great.

I'm having trouble in the exercise area. I'm 57 and quit walking when diagnosed with RA and also foot issues. I have just purchased a good pair of walking shoes and hope to get started this week. I work on the 14th floor and started walking 3 levals over a month ago. Now I'm up to 4 levals. I don't want to load up exercising to much for fear I will stop all together. If I had a goal I think it would be to walk 3 days a week for 30 minutes and add 1 additional leval in two months. Comments on this are welcome

I have heard so many great things about P90x. I thought about it but haven't committed to it yet. I like my cardio classes, I just wish they had an option to do them earlier in the day.

That's a great goal. I think walking is such a good way to exercise. I like stationary bikes as well. It's not so hard on my knees.

I do a small amount of cardio everyday. Normally walking at a brisk pace for at least 20 minutes. But I spend at least an hour in the gym with 20 or more being cardio and the rest of the hour doing weight training in intervals. I am so scared to lose weight and have all this excess skin every where. You guys are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

I am doing a variety of activities to keep things interesting. In the last few days I have done Tae Bo, walked, and boxed on the Wii. I also purchased a pedometer that I wear at work and at home. It breaks down aerobic walking from regular walking and allows me to download my data to a program on my computer. I am very competitive so everyday I try to beat my previous number of steps. :-)
