average weighted people losing weight

i kind of stole this questions from a topic in the general discussion but it got me wondering...
so i've started my LCHF lifestyle for health reasons of course, but mainly vanity--to lose weight. from my starting weight, i aimed to lose 32 lbs. now i was never considered "overweight", per se, for my height; though i was flirting with the very tip top of the healthy percentage range on the BMI chart lol. ANYWAY i was wondering how long it took for the people whom wanted to lose a good 20-30 pounds on a low carb diet but were never considered overweight.
i do have a goal in mind of wanting to reach a little beyond the halfway point by early october--so basically i want to be 16+ lbs lighter by then. i've lost 11 lbs so far as of this morning when i weighed myself. now i had been kind of going back and forth between a good 3 lbs for the past three weeks. i swear the scale is taunting me! i would attribute the small "yo-yoing" of my weight because i guess i've been a bit careless over the weekend and will indulge in one meal per week. i've realized now that my body just isn't made for that and i do plan to not have those cheat meals as much anymore during my weight loss journey. maybe scale them down to once or twice a month.
i'm looking for both experience and advice if applicable

'normal' people will lose a lot slower. i don't have any experience with it, but i reduced my cals dramatically when i was close to goal, and that helped.0

And mind is even different from the person above. I was closer to "normal" and I have lost 8 since low carbing - and I am about 10 more to be really happy. Anyway, expect 1 lb a week loss low carbing... but what makes my low carbing different than the person above - I eat MORE calories on low carb than I did when I counted cals and I am losing more weight. I honestly think that I had sensitivities to carbs, because I can't believe how much easier this is and how good I feel... I eat 1600-2000 calories a day.
So count on 1 lb a week. LowCarbNY has a great post on it!0 -
I know of people personally who are losing a good 1 per week with bodyfat in the sub 10% where 6 pounds is the difference between winning a competition and not even placing. The killer is they can't be eating any of those atkins friendly ice cream bars and whatnots.0

I have made it a point to eliminate processed food as much as possible. That stuff is nasty!0 -

The same for me. I am carb sensitive and when I go low carb I feel tremendously better. My weight loss has slowed as I have gotten closer to goal with less weight to lose. Right now averaging 1-1.5 lb a week.0 -
I've got to stage where I am just ignoring weight.
I will weigh myself once and once only when my jiggly bits stop jiggling, that will be good enough for me.
Measurements and the feel of my clothes are a far better tracker for me, my weight has been all over the place as my body fat/muscle/water/whatever percentage moves around.
Low carb works particularly well for those with insulin resistance (i.e. they've done the "assault by sugar" thing) as we become more sensitive again then I would imagine weight loss slows significantly.
I will continue to eat this way not for weight loss particularly but for health reasons though. I just don't think a grain-based diet is good for me.0
