  • A breakfast favorite of mine
    1 cup rolled oats
    1 overripe banana
1/4 cup raisins 1 tsp honey

mix, roll into cookie size balls and bake on 350 for 20 min on a cooie sheet. I then eat it with a half cup vanilla yogurt ... usually in a pretty dish.. Very yummy!
then you can eat the rest as snacks.. they are better than oatmeal cookies if you ask me.. i haven't counted the cals.. but I know it can't be much.. its all natural.. no flour.
  • That sounds delicious! I also like the fact you can have it for Breakfast & snacks.:flowerforyou:
  • I agree, breakfast can also be dinner. There's no rules when it comes to specifics regarding that I don't think! Sounded good to me.

I've just started to use egg whites (2 Chicks). I make a sweet or savory pancake - today was a sweet one for breakfast. Thin slices of nectarine sprinkled with cinnamon and sauteed in a non -stick pan with a drop of oil. Whisk the equivalent of 3 egg whites with splenda to taste, seed trail, shredded coconut. Drizzle on the cooked nectarine, flip over when the the bottom is nicely browned. A spoonful of yogurt on top makes a nice addition. Yummmmm....
    sounds delicious!

My fave right now is a cup of strawberries, a container of plain greek yogurt poured over, topped with a few sliced almonds and a tsp of drizzled honey. Only about 240 calories and it keeps me full for a long time. Will add any berries I find to change it up.

I enjoy smoothies using whatever leftover fruit I have. Fr a good dose of the healthy fat I'll throw in an avocado for extra creaminess and for extra protein hemp hearts.

Or I'll take vanilla yogurt, top it off with a few tbsp of hemp granola, died cranberries and walnuts.

This sounds fascinating and awesome! It's like a flourless pancake but with the addition of protein into the mix!
I never thought to use egg whites in a sweet way, but it makes total sense since an egg white will take on any flavor profile you give it. Sooo trying this! Thank you!

Your stomach doesn't know what time it is...You don't have to eat breakfast food. But try an omelet with low-fat swiss and a little peach salsa. Puree some raspberries and pour them over cottage cheese. Put some fresh or grilled peach in your oatmeal and top with a dollop of yogurt. Have a cup of chili. It's dinnertime somewhere. ;-)

Breakfast is my FAVORITE meal of the day.... gonna have to try some of these ideas! I'm with the parfait - fruit, light yogurt, crunchy cereal! It's delish and filling!!
  • At the preschool we worked at the kids would often get banana roll ups...
Tortilla (they used just regular flour tortillas but you can use whatever kind you want, whole wheat or whatever)
A little peanut butter and honey mix together and spread on the tortilla then you wrap the banana in it. I don't like bananas and could always eat this.

My 'breakfast' consists of a wrap with avocado, greens/salad, and about a third of a chicken... of course my breakfast is usually around 1pm.

I saw a box of Emerald Breakfast on the Go. The flavor is Apples & Cinnamon Oatmean Nut Blend. It has Apple Oatmeal Clusters, Apple Cinnamon Glazed Almonds, Raisins and Dried Apple Slices. There are 5 pouches in each box. Each pouch is 1.5 oz and is 180 calories. They are delicious!!!

I just had a Salsa omlette this morning. it was so delicious here is what was in it.

    1/2 cup liquid egg whites
1/2 piece of american cheese (optional)
    1-2 oz of turkey
2 Tbsp of chunky medium salsa

I cooked the egg whites first then when they were done just put the rest on top of it. It was something new and i really liked it and it was only 158 calories for all of that.

Ive done omlets where i did 4tbs egg whites just a sprinkle of cheese then load with veggies tomatoes, red and green bell peppers, avacado, spinach, zuccini sometimes and top with a little salsa and plain yogurt sometimes i even have a piece of turkey bacon its about the same calories and soooo good

This still uses eggs, but is definitely non traditional.

2 eggs (I use whole eggs)
1/4 cup Jimmy Dean Turkey Sausage Crumbles
    1/2 cup cooked rice
    2 TBS sugar free syrup

Cook eggs and sausage. Heat rice. Add all ingredients together and eat. High in protein, and carbs, but not bad depending on the type of rice used.

I'm not a big Breakfast person, honestly. Alot of the time I just eat leftovers whenever it is I decide I'm hungry.
