Paleo meal plan?

I'm starting paleo in a couple of weeks and just wanted to see what a typical day looks like for anyone following this plan.
Ive read a lot into it and noticed that 3-4 meals is usually a good number for the day but I find that I need a snack between each meal so some filling breakfast ideas (other than eggs) would be a great help too so that I dont need a snack between breakfast and lunch.
Thanks!

I like macadamia nuts (2 oz) with coffee for my breakfast. I love eggs as well though. Any leftovers work well as your first meal. Meat, fish, veggies... Baked sweet potato microwaved with egg whites into a souffle (did this with bananas and grated carrots too). just don't worry about some special 'breakfast' food, and it will work wonders for your food selections.0

Breakfast: pistachios + sm piece dark chocolate (thanks coworker!)
Lunch: spinach salad (dried cranberries, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, spinach), turkey
Snack: apple + green tea
Dinner: probably bacon and eggs again, or else a grilled chicken salad from somewhere (working late) but may be nothing depending on whether or not I'm hungry when I eventually leave the office
When I'm working, I take small stuff with me, because I am often in back to back meetings and don't necessarily get a "lunch hour." Lots of sources say that you shouldn't graze, but it's what works for my job. I eat breakfast and lunch at my desk-- dinner is optional and lately has been bacon and eggs (or weekend leftovers), because cooking at night doesn't really happen right now. I'm trying to get better about enforcing dinner so that my husband eats because he needs to.
Hope that helps! paleoplan.com will also provide meal plans-- we used that for a few weeks to get the hang of thinking outside the box (yeah.... really) with regards to meals at various times.0 -
paleo kinda suggests not snacking (you might find you snack less as a "fat burner" anyhow)
i WAS a huge snacker- i ate every 2-3 hours cause that is what shape magazine told me to do. now that ive got primal (i love yogurt so im having a hard time going paleo) i find that i eat 3 larger fattier meals and don't snack at all. at first it was a mental struggle, but now its awesome and i have WAY less planning to do for my 12 hour work days.
also i don't usually eat breakfast for breakfast i usually make a big roast in a crockpot and a curry or something and just grab those for the day and eat my "breakfast" for dinner. yumm.
good luck- you will love it.
also www.paleomg.com is my favorite site for recipes. plus the girl that writes it is really really funny!0 -

If you eat enough healthy fats in your meals, you may find that you snack less in between. My diary is open if you want to get a sense of my daily meals. I do eat dairy.
Strangely enough, since starting Primal in July, I find that I do NOT get tired of eggs. I never in a million years would have thought I would ever say that, because before once a week was more than enough for me. But now, I love my eggs for breakfast. Cooked in coconut oil, with a tomato or avocado or both, some spices or salt blend... yum. Today I was out of eggs and was sad.
Lots of people just end up skipping breakfast once they get used to eating Paleo and just do Bulletproof Coffee. It gives you excellent fat and energy and keeps you going until lunch time or beyond.
Good luck!0 -
I'm obsessed with this website for recipes: http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/
And I went to my local library and checked out a bunch of paleo books that have meal plans and fabulous recipes in them, as well!0 -
Pumpkin smoothies are great and filling!0

Ive been low carb for a while now. Still in transition from Atkins to Paleo but I find that I snack very little. It only happens when I keep snacks around (then i tend to over indulge), but every once in a while you will need to satisfy a craving. Dark chocolate and almond butter has been great at doing that for me. And since I do IF i only eat about 1 or 2 big meals a day. Hope that helps0
