10/25/12 Weigh-In

Not at all happy to post that I gained 2.8 pounds this past week. :noway:  :frown: Not sure how I gained that much, unless it's related to my cycle. I take a continuous b.c. pill for regulation, but I still feel bloated certain times of the month and I used to always be up 2 pounds during that TOM. Regardless, YIKES!!!!!!! I will be much more vigilant this coming week!

How did everyone else do???

I usually gain 2-3 lbs right before my TOM... regardless of how much water I drink... it just is what it is. It falls back down after and if I'm exercising and eating my correct cals, it typically falls 1-2 pounds more...so I usually have that to look forward to.

I lost 3.5 pounds between 10/18 and 10/23 (when I weighed last).. I am trying not to weigh myself no more than once a week, but I have already twice this week. I am trying very hard each morning to stay away from the scale, until next Tuesday :)

I ordered a new digital scale (the one I have is standard and difficult to gage how much I weigh), when I get it, I am going to reset my weight on here to show the weight on the new scale, hopefully it isn't off much - the pounds lost will be the same, however; my begining weight may have been heavier :( I also got the caliper to go with my measuring tool so that I can accurately measure my body fat %.

I ordered the scale through Amazon, it is a Eatsmart Precision Plus Digital Bathroom Scale with Ultra Wide Platform and Step-on Technology, 440-Pounds you can see it here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032TNPOE/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i01

Ok now be afraid of the cheeseburger and fries...be very afraid, those foods release these little devils called calories that hide in your closet at night and sew up your clothes so they don't fit anymore... be very aware of those pesky critters :)

I know when we are stressed our first (sometimes second, cause first is wine/liquor for me) instinct is to eat something very bad for us - it really doesn't have any positive effect on how we feel afterwards... because we usually alternate between guilt and indigestion :) so, go for a walk - even if its short, eat something healthy that tastes really good - instead, if you must have that burger and fries - opt for a turkey burger and some baked sweet potato fries instead... not quite the same but it will eliminate the craving and not make you feel crappy... Hope that helped, don't get discouraged, get motivated:)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!! You are right.....they do sew up my clothes at night :-) That is great. I am going to go for that walk. I am sure that will make me feel better physcially and then I will not have that craving anymore. Good suggestions...I have never had a Turkey burger. I will have to check that out as well. Thank you for the info on the scale too!!!

I did not give into the burger and fries, however, I did not make good choices on Friday night....but I confessed them on my diary. Okay iamslimandfit....pick an outfit that you want to get back into, put it out somewhere and picture yourself back in it. I also put a skinny picture of myself on the visor of my car...so any time I want fast food, I just look at the picture and drive on by. You know you can do this and you will!!!! Each day does not have to be perfect but RECORD it!!!! If you start using the diary, you can see every minute of the day...how many calories you have going into the next meal. Then post your diary at the end of the day. The ladies on here are very supportive and encouraging after you post it.

Ldevinemk, thank you so much for your thoughtful ideas!!! I will try them!

I have really struggled since gaining nearly 3 pounds last week. It just really brought me down, and then I started making unhealthy food choices. I think I am slowly getting back on board, but I just feel like a HUGE whale right now!!! :embarassed: I absolutely HATE where my weight is right now!!! But, I know that all I can do is MOVE FORWARD and make healthy choices one meal at a time. I have to renew my trust in the process! I just finished a 45 minute workout a little while ago and it felt great!!! So, hopefully, that will help to get me back on track!

Couldn't weigh myself while out of town, I lost a LB a week. been home a week lost .4 (I actually went up for a few days- I usually don't fluctuate up). I guess being hyper vigilant, not having a scale to know what I was doing helped. I am visually smaller and have been doing killer exercise routines (be fit on On-Demand).

Yes, keep your chin up. This is a battle and it is not easy! Great job on the 45 min workout......take "HUGE whale" out of your vocabulary. God made each one of us beautiful in his own way. Just look at one meal a day that you can dedicate to God's work. Eventually each meal will have you thinking of living a healthy life!! You are worth it!!!

this was a good week. I think I lost around 3lbs. I had TOM, but I don't think that effects me since I lost 1.8lbs the week before. Next week will probably slow to almost nothing i imagine.
