I picked up a different mayo when shopping as I noticed my old mayo used veg oils. The one I bought stated made with evoo but turns out only 10% , rest is rapeseed oil, which I gather is just as good.
Anyway, I was comparing the nutritional values and the new jar listed the recommended values.... 90g of sugar!!
Are they freaking serious?! That's my sugar intake for the past 4-5 days.
Surely even if the guidelines want to ignore carbs it's universally agreed that sugars are bad.
Just couldn't believe the GDA was so high.

Make your own, then you can be sure of what's in it

BTW I wouldn't use rapeseed/canola - I prefer EVOO, but I just read that you can't even be sure of getting just EVOO in bottles marked EVOO! http://www.naturalnews.com/035124_olive_oil_adulterated_canola.html0 -
I'd pass on soy or canola oil in your mayo. Look for european brands, they tend to have different ingredients. Whole egg mayo tends to be better.0
