Nut Allergy

Hello Everyone!
I have been trying out Paleo for about 6 months now and have been enjoying it. I am now converting my 5yo daughter towards Paleo also but she has nut allergies to all tree nuts. I am wondering if anyone has found an alternative to Almond Meal that does not change the overall flavor of recipes too much? I have tried flax meal but she does not like the flavor.
Any suggestions would be awesome!
Thanks so much!

How about coconut flour? I personally don't think it tastes too coconut-y, but I love coconut.0

I am in the same situtation. My daughter is allergic to dairy, peanuts, and beef. We avoid all nuts. I just have continued to feed my daughter grains because I think that outweighs the alternative. I think oat flour would still be better than other things though. I would not try coconut because it is still a tree nut if you want to get technical. If your child does coconut in other things then it might be fine, but I try not to be too brave with testing things out. Lesson learned the hard way:(0

Quinoa flour might be a possibility. Quinoa looks like a grain, but it's actually related to spinach.0

I'm no expert but my first thought was teff flour. Although still a grain, it is gluten free. Another option (again not paleo but better than a gluten flour) would be garbonzo bean flour.0

She's doing a whole series and it's so helpful! There's also one on leavening and fats and another on binders.0
