Pyramid Training?

Your thoughts on 10-8-6. I have read many articles and they say its a great routine -I mean I did it it football come on, but then I see articles on Reverse Pyramid Training? Starting with your heaviest weight first then progressing down to a lower weight. I guess its a "you wont know until you try" thing but has anyone had success using either method?

    I'm a big fan of RPT for the big lifts.

    It seems to me a good place to turn when 3x5 or 5x5 linear progress stops.

    I've done pyramid programs before and found them very successful, especially for weight progression/PB's.
    I tend to use a pyramid program at least once a year (for around 6-8 weeks) to change things up a little.
