My husband and I just recently decided to change the entire family to Paleo eating. One of our daughters has a bunch of behavioral and health conditions. Meds are not an option for her so we thought diet changes would be our only option. I am trying to get a stock pile of recipes together. I was wondering what some of your go to family dinners are? Also any tips or pointers for Paleo eating would be great. Thanks in advanced!

Mashed cauliflower with coconut oil (like fun mashed potatoes), mini burgers, scrambled eggs, coconut flour pancakes, all the kids I've ever met have loved chicken drumsticks, paleo chicken nuggets (with coconut or almond flour)...the list is endless. Check out Paleo Parents website for other great ideas. In my experience, when kids get to help prepare their food they are way more likely to enjoy it
Way to go for making a healthy choice for your family!

My kids like simple things like eggs and sausages, chicken breast grilled in coconut oil, chicken nuggets (coconut flour coating) roasted pork loin, chicken wings with salt and pepper, chicken drumsticks, bacon wrapped chicken, roast beef, raw veggies and fruits, deli meat, (not 100% paleo on that one, I know) Jerky.
Our kids aren't totally paleo, so I can't be a huge help. A lot of the things they eat contain rice. Cracker/rice cakes. Rice bread/bagels, rice crumbs to coat fish/chicken etc.0 -
The Paleo Mom site is a great resource, and she has a whole section on "Kid Staples" Here: http://www.thepaleomom.com/kid-staples.
NomNomPaleo is great too--she's got some wonderful recipes and is cooking for a family which includes two young boys, if I recall correctly.
It seems there are a number of great family-friendly recipe sites for paleo/primal cooks. Happy hunting!0 -
There is a lot of really good information here already but I want to add in my two cents for to-go lunches for school.
I just recently switched my kids to Paleo/Primal about 3 months ago and we sometimes struggle with new ideas for lunch. Sometimes you've got to get creative but some of my kids favorite things to eat are lunch meat with cream cheese (used like glue to make the meat stick to itself), black olives, sweet potato chips, veggies with homemade ranch (Melissa Joulwan's Well Fed cookbook, author of theclothesmakethegirl.com), apples with peanut butter (yes I know it's not technically Paleo but we pick our battles), and I recently added in greek yogurt for the two who aren't lactose-intolerant.0
