Still waiting for results :(

Hi

Just finished Day 10, level 1. Gained 2lb on day 4, still haven't lost it and haven't lost any inches. I know its only early days and I know the weight gain thing is normal but really fed up I haven't seen any results inches wise yet.

Has anyone else had the same problem? Has anyone got through the whole thing and not seen any results? Has anyone not had results from level 1 but then lost absolutely loads on level 2? :-)

I'm starting to wonder whether its worth carrying on. I know diet wise I can lose the weight as have done it before and I know the Shred is all about strength and getting healthy - but I'd just rather get the weight off then be healthy on the inside!!

:frown:

Be patient! Make sure you're eating few enough calories to lose weight but enough to not stress your body out. Oddly I hadn't lost any weight with 30DS until I stopped it for a few days. I've read that when you go from being very inactive to suddenly very active and your muscles are under a lot of stress, they hold onto fluids while they're healing and make it difficult to see results on the scale until you give them time to adjust.

Remember that you WILL lose the weight with time and that doing it with diet and exercise combined will give you so much better long-term results than just diet. Like you said, you can lose weight either way, but to really get a good shape - and good health - underneath it all, you need the physical fitness. If 30DS still feels hard for you, it's working and you will see results. If it doesn't, up your weights, do it twice, or maybe think about switching to RI30. Remember that 10 days really isn't very long, and though a lot of people see results quickly, this is something you will have to do long-term to maintain your body how you want it, so try not to rush!

I'm on day 9 of level 1, I do 30DS for 2 days and then have a rest day. I find my weight is down after I have a rest day. Similar to what neh02 suggested. Maybe take a rest day before you start level 2, but Congrats on finishing level 1, hope you stick with it.

Thanks for your replies. When your weight drops with a rest day - does it go back up again when you start shredding again or does it stay down? Do you think sticking to the shred will eventually help you lose quicker than not doing it?

I'm only on D4L2, but mine has stayed down. I am NOT doing it every day anymore - aiming for 4x/week. I'm also doing Yoga Meltdown 3-4x/week (usually on the same day as the shred) and counting calories. No other exercise right now, though my job does require physical activity.

That's interesting. I might go up to level 2 tomorrow and then not do it at weekends (but do the treadmill instead) and maybe keep the shred to the week - which would make sense time wise. Maybe that will help make a difference? Thanks for your thoughts.

My weight has stayed down, I also do cardio 3-4 days a week. Good luck!

30DS does work, but you have to eat right as well. I saw results after 4 weeks when I did the "30DS with Kettle bells", with eating right, drinking water & sticking with it. This was in November & lost about 8 lbs that month, even with rest days every 7 days.

I started 30DS Cardio Kickboxing last week & feeling great, especially now that I know how to eat right.
