I take 50MCG daily.0

I am currently at 75 mcg levothyroxine. I am considering looking into Armour. I know my current dosage isn't high enough but I have only recently been deemed hypo and am still getting my meds right and still have to do the antibodies test. I believe I should be on a much higher dose. Still tired, cannot lose weight, cold, anxious. It's horrible.0

im currently on 50mcg of levothyroxine but i was only diagnosed last week0

I recently dropped from 88mcg to 75mcg. I was on 88 for about two years, and I was stable, but then all of a sudden I had insomnia and I was jittery. I'm feeling better on the 75 now, but it's only been a few days. I can tell that I'm still adjusting, because I go back and forth between tired and shaky, but I'm functioning better than I was a week ago.0

I'm on 88mcg synthroid and 5mcg cytomel. Just recently upped the cytomel because my t3 kept tanking.0

Im in the uk and have been hypo for 20 years. im currently on 175mgs of levothyroxine. ive never been given the opportunity to take anything else and my gp has said the lab wont test t4 or t3 or treat t3. i am far from well0

I'm in the UK too, my gp is not testing t4 or t3 either0

I just got bumped up to 200mcg.0

I no longer have my thyroids... and I'm on a T3/T4 Combo.
Taking 62.5 synthroid and 20 cytomel.0 -
Ive just read up about thyroid disease in the uk. it seems gps are not allowed to prescribe t3 or armour. hmmmm great0

Why don't you just take 182 every day? that would be better, you can take multiple lesser pills or cut them in 1/2 too.
I take 88mcg of levothyroxine0 -
125 mcg of levothyroxine0

I take 88mcg of levothyroxine
The pills come in specific dosages. If you try and break them or cut them in half, you don't necessarily get it right in half. Thyroid meds work as they build up in your system, so taking a certain amount per week is the goal, not necessarily a certain amount per day.0 -
100 mcg of levothyroxine.0

Well my prescription is for 60mg of armour,
However i am currently taking 120mg NDT ( 60 Armour, 60 Thiroyd) & 20mcg T30 -

That's correct - if you're taking a T4-only med like Synthroid or Levothyroxine then you don't have to take the same dose every day. Personally I hate fussing with cutting pills.0 -
I had a thyroidectomy as treatment for graves - prior to that I took both methimazole and PTU, at different times and at different dosages.
I was up to 200 mcg of Synthroid recently, but my free T4 got too high and I got all jittery. I'm currently at 150 mcg which is fine for my free T4, but my free T3 is still too low - without a thyroid I'm already behind on T3 hormone, and my body is also struggling to convert the synthetic T4 into T3. I'm in Canada and currently fighting to find a doctor who will prescribe a dessicated med (here it's Erfa's Thyroid), or at the very least a synthetic T3.
I am definitely no where near optimal or stabilized.0 -

They dont make a prescription for 182 its either 175 or 200 . 175 wasnt enough 188mcg was to much. now were trying 1820 -
I am on 100 Synthroid and 45 desiccated Thyroid. Allergic to PTU, have been on Tapazole .
In the last few months my T4 has been at the top of the range and so has my TSH so with the addition of desicated thyroid ( and lower Synthroid from 150) my T4 has dropped a point or 2 but my TSH has gone back down to under 1 which I need to rest the thyroid. Strange but my T3 really has not changed.0 -

Hmm, why does your doctor have you on synthroid along with your dessicated meds? That seems like a really high T4 dose to add in, no wonder your free T4 is at the top of the range!
I would talk to your doctor about dropping your synthroid (possibly even altogether) and increasing your dessicated med if you need it.
Are you on the dessicated med Thyroid? (wasn't sure if that was an intentional capital T or not). Just wondering if you're in Canada, since that's what Canada's dessicated med is called.0 -
My levels were/are fine with the exception of inflammation of the thyroid. ( was diffuse goiter now 2 nodules) .
Yes in Canada.. ( Vancouver) My T4 was 20 and my TSH went up to 2.65. I was taking 150 mcg of Synthroid.
Doctor switched me to 100mcg of Synthroid and 60 mg ( =38 -T4 and 9- T3 )of Thyroid ( desiccated) in an effort to lower the TSH and rest the thyroid. My endo then lowered the Thyroid to 45mg.0 -

That's definitely a high free T4, good that he lowered the dose. Do they also test your free T3...? Keep in mine that "within normal range" and "optimal" are two very different things.0 -
My meds were recently changed. I am taking 175 mcg Synthroid and 10 mcg Cytomel.0

I take 88 mcg Levothyroxine. I have been out of it now for a month (dr. appt. this month woo hoo) and I can tell a difference without it. I was actually on it 6 years ago and moved and switched doctors. When I went to that new doctor to have my bloodwork done he said "oh you don't need it anymore, you've been on it for a year now" without doing any labs. I was new to the whole thing and thought well ok he's the one with the degree he must know what he's talking about. Then just last year when we moved again I was trying to loose weight at a clinic, they ordered labs and said that no matter what I did to loose weight it would never come off if I didn't get on meds. Now I know I have to take it forever and I really hate that I've been off of it now for a month.0

Currently taking 12.5mcg t3 for my cm dose - 1 grain ndt at 9am, and another 1 grain at 2pm. Holding steady for another week or two to see where I'm at with new labs.0

I take 112mg, I started at 75 and as I get older the dose gets higher.0

I take 200mcg of Synthroid daily. Have taken as high as 300mcg.0

I'm on roughly 100 mcg of synthroid plus an additional half pill twice a week. I go back to the endocrinologist in March and will make sure I get the numbers for Free T4 and T3. Have been on this dosage for a while now, but now that I have lost weight I feel much better so I wonder if the dosage was correct before (or just feel better in general).0
