After reading up on the program and seeing some people's results here I have decided to give up on my random use of machines at the gym and start the 5x5 program.

Today will be my first day. I'm gonna be working out with a friend of mine who's a physical therapist and in much better shape than I am. I think it will be good for me and will hopefully lead to some killer results!

My plan is to follow the program exactly (except that I will also be doing some cardio on my days off).

    Good for you! I just finished week 3 and feel really good about it. Pay close attention to form and technique. It makes a huge difference.

    Had a good time today and enjoyed the workout. We concentrated heavily on form and watched a few youtube videos as we went to assure we had the form right.
