Just wondering what everyone is doing for exercise? I am training for a 5K and 10K so I'm running 3 days a week and cross training 1 day.
I would really like to get the Insanity DVD and add that in  .

I just began training for a 5k, but I am also doing two nights of zumba and 1 night of kick boxing. When that is cancelled I do 30 day shred dvd.

I decided to only do exercise that I was willing to continue from now on, hoping that will help me maintain. So I am only walking 30 minutes a day, climbing some stairs at work on my break, and doing some hand weights while watching televison.

I have the 30 day shred dvd but I never get past level 1. I think the most I've done was 8 days. For some reason I feel like I HAVE to do 10 days of level 1, 10 of level 2.....lol!!! I should get that dvd back out though because I saw on the success boards a thread where the person had really great results after day 7.

I agree! I really want to "be" a runner. I don't know if you are born one or you can become one but I'm working on it!! I enjoy running, especially in a group. I love that you are doing hand weights while watching tv. Very smart. Any particular exercises with them? I have some hand weights at home and this is a great idea!
  • My favorite exercise is kettle bells. Its a great cardio and strength workout in one. I also have been trying to run more lately, I have noticed that I tend to push myself more when I'm on a treadmill next to someone I know lol I suppose its the competitive side of me :)

I like a lot of things. Love zumba, kbells, TJ and hopefully, will love Turbo Fire as well when I get around to it. I do love to walk but, I can't stand running. Maybe when I get more fit I will like it. For now, no.

If you are doing it and enjoying it, then you are officially "a runner". Congratulations. I like walking or hiking, but running is not for me. I just googled to get exercises for the handweights. I have moved up to heavier weights and I think it is helping.
