working out while sick

What are your thoughts on working out while under the weather? I hear SO many differing opinions on this. Some say - push through if you have a cold, others say - rest up and heal.

Curious what the consensus is here. I will say, I think there HAS to be a different approach with crossfit because of how hard you push yourself. I mean, it isn't like you are going for a light jog.

    I say rest. Adding intense exercise on top of an already stressed body can increase your cortisol levels. And you won't get your box mates sick, either.

    I say rest. For yourself and also who wants to spread germs around?

    For me it depends how I feel. if its just sniffles I would go, but yes like the others here have said you dont' want to infect others either lol. it is super demanding and if you have a fever it will make it worse im sure.

    I agree that your body will let you know. I'll be active unless I get body aches or the sickness has made me exhausted
