You guys have inspired me to make a REAL plan for the week!!! I had thought I would just wait until each morning and peruse youtube channels. But I've got time tonight and tomorrow to peruse workouts and make a plan. What a great idea!!!! Seems so simple, but I sure didn't think of it!

    THANKS pals!!!!

Making a plan was a great decision!! Thank you so much for that idea!!!

I made my plan at night, when I was rested and feeling good (read: ambitious) and got carried away and made a 2 week plan, with absolutely no repeats for 2 weeks. And the best thing about it is that I can change it if I feel I need to. But, since I've made it, with dates, formatted it, made it look pretty, and printed it and put it where I see it all day...I'm less likely to slack or say "Oh, I'll just do some jumping jacks today", haha! So, I feel like March is off to a good start!!

And this week is off to a great start!! This morning I did 30 Day Shred Level 1 and Level 2 back-to-back! whoo!! What a workout!!! I skipped the level 1 cool down and the level 2 warm up for obvious reasons, and to save time. I was getting lost around Level 2 Circuit 3 cardio, with just not enough energy having not had breakfast yet. But overall, performance on level 1 was GREAT! First half of Level 2 was pretty darn good. Last half of level 2 was more like what I remember myself doing all the way back in January, when I was still very much a big time beginner.

Anyway, that's it today! Doubt I'll get my fast walking in the park done today, because my husband will be working late, so I'll have my lil girl with me and will probably be moving pretty slowly with her. However, I will, probably carry her halfway there and halfway back and do some squats while pushing her on the see-saw.

Can't wait to see what everyone else is doing today!!! It's MONDAY---so MAKE IT STRONG!!!

    Repeat after me: I.AM.DETERMINED.

    Seeya!

LOL...glad to see a few jumped on the "make a plan" bandwagon. I've been writing my fitness plans since 2010 and enjoy referring back to them from time to time. I write out a "4 week rotation" to take the guess work out of what I want or need to do each day. It works wonderfully for me and hope it does for you.

I will be doing Chalean Extreme Extreme Intervals this morning.....here I goooooo!

Oh my goodness sherry! I felt exact.y the same way when I did levels 1 and 2 back to back yesterday. So funny! I felt so awesome not to feel the need to grab a water break during level 1 and atll, but by the 3rd circuit I was panting and chugging water like there was no tomorrow. Not pretty... I'm sure I was no turn on to my hubby in anyway... Lol... But it was a great workout. I think it will be my go-to workout on Sundays when hubby is home.

Today I did level 2 of ripped in 30. Wow. I forgot how hard they level was! In my mind, these levels were getting progressively harder, but I think all of the workouts are pretty equal, but you're just focusing on different muscle groups. But now I feel like I can actually do the advanced version. (Except the crow push ups.,, those are inhuman. I cannot for the life of me figure out how I could do that!)

I heard a funny quote that helped me this morning when the little devil on my shoulder was reminding me of my sore muscles and putting such an obnoxious idea as a rest day into my mind...
"Take a lesson from your dog- no matter what life brings you, kick some grass over that **** and move on." Lol

    Have a great Monday everyone!

This morning I went to the gym and did the 30 min C25K Week 2 day 1 and then did 1 hour on the elliptical.
  • Hi, I'm new. You don't need my whole bloody history so here's the condensed version. I'm 38 years young and I have fat. I'm over weight and out of shape. After procrastinating for far too long I have decided to kick my own butt! It's my fault I got here and it will be my fault if I choose to stay unhappy with my physical appearance. This isn't to look good for summer. This is to look good forever.

I did my scheduled ST this morning. Eating is clean and on time. Cardio later today.

    Have a fantabulous day

I feel ya because there are times when we all make "unwise" food choices. With that said, I try not to feel guilty about that because more times than not my choices are good...kwim? I bet you make great choices most of the time, too.
I don't eliminate any food groups but focus on enjoying the "unwise" items in moderation.

It's a new day and check you out eating healthy and getting a great workout today!

Hi and welcome! I like your attitude...becoming health & fit is a lifetime journey....we all should view it as such...no temporary fixes around here. I wish you great success on your journey, too.

My husband is retired Army Instructor so he has me in a boot camp..lol I like it ..It gives me accountability and he knows what he is doing! Today I did a cardio bootcamp for 15 minutes which included a lot of squats and jumping and and so on..then we worked on leg lifts and crunches..I am feeling it...this afternoon I did 4 sets of 10 leg lifts while I was standing in my living room talking to my son...not to mention the many times I have gone up and down my stairs today for various reasons...so today has been an active one for me.

Your own personal boot camp! That could get crazy! (in a good way)

The leg lifts while talking to your son is very clever!! Inspiring! Thanks for the idea. I need to figure out and to remember to do stuff like that in everyday life.

Good on ya for refocusing! I'm off with my workouts, but dead on with my eating. Usually it's the other way around! I want to blame my schedule, but that just seems lame.

Unless this changes to a very late workout tonight, the only time I got my heart rate up today was playing tug with the dog for about 8 mins. Now, she's pretty hard core about and 8 mins is fatigue level for my arms, but it's not really a workout. Grrr!

We're all different, with different starting points, different goals, and different schedules. The most important thing is creating a habit of working out every day without fail (besides rest days, which also serve a purpose). The details of the workout can be changed up or down, once the habit is formed. But, with that said, if you wanna crank it up a notch--don't let me stand in your way!!
