I am a current college student in the medical field and tend to live a healthy life. However in the sport I do there are so many unhealthy ways to maintain your weight. Mixed Martial Arts is one of the most popular sports in the country and quite naturally a young energetic many like myself just had to check out what its all about. Well it turns out I'm pretty good at it and I have my first fight in June. I have had tournaments in the past and my experience with cutting weight has been hideous. My mission today is to not only explore the different suggestion other members have but to build a report for my class that provides the do's and dont's when navigating this site. I have been a member for a while but have not participated in any forum. Ideally I would like to find someone in the community who is willing to be interviewed (respond to some questions I will provide) about their experience in the community. Whoever you are you will have the chance to see the report when it is completed and that it will not be published in any way beyond the confines of this course.
My purpose is to write a report that describes the best way to integrate and interact in the Myfitnesspal community based on what I have observed and experienced.

Hi hsantiago,
I'm sorry I don't think I'd have time to be interviewed for qualitative research, but what about posing your interview questions on the forums so many people can respond? I know I'd have time for a quick response here and there on the fly, just not a full interview. A bunch of short qualitative responses from this community may hold a little more weight for your paper as it could add some quantitative data based on the number of similar responses you receive. Everyone's experience on MFP I imagine is different, so having responses from many people may draw a better picture of what the MFP experience is like for most individuals.
Good luck with your paper. I hope you get the information you need for an A+. :-)0 -
The plan is actually to do both. A personal more in depth interview and mass interaction. So will see what happens lol and thank you very much for the advise. It seems like everybody in this community is so open in comparison to others I have tried. Good luck on your journey to a healthy life.0
