Good idea. This is a great way to keep one disciplined. I'm looking for much more than 30 pounds. A lot more. But losing 30 pounds is a great start.

I weight 197 as of today. I had lost some weight without doing anything and gained it all back, and then some, and I really want to be fit and have a more active lifestyle. I don't want to feel self-conscious. I want tobe able to wear dresses and skirts this summer, so I'm hoping this group will help give me motivation and support to keep me on track so that I can achieve just that!

I will post my losses each Monday and I know we can make it to goal! Any suggestions on exercise equipment to have at home? Considering getting something like a rower...It is so hard fitting in time to excerise with kids to watch so I can't just take off for a run or a walk.
I love using turbofire, its really annoying at first because you have to learn all of the terminology but once you get use to it its fantastic!! (workout on the tv, using your own resistance, lower body band and a complete body band.) I havent gone to the gym yet, just using what i have around me . (when i did go to the gym to train for biathalon i always was on the rower, so fun! It works so many muscles in one go)0 -

Thats the spirit, focus on what you want. Positive thinking towards a goal makes your brain work towards the goal without even realizing it. The same goes with negative self talk. If you keep talking down you most likely will do things to sacrifice what you want.0 -

Ah! I didn't post but my weight yesterday was 179.5... that would make my goal 149 by July . Going to do my best this time so I won't have to start over again!!0
