Rest Days

Hey everyone. I am taking two rest days a week from the 30DS. I know some of us are going 7 days a week.

For those taking rest days, what does that mean to you?

Today my rest day consisted of walking 45 minutes each way to a fitness studio to do an hour of kettle bell exercises! It's only 130, and I'm so happy I decided to get up early and get active!

Tomorrow will be a for real rest day, with some yoga MAYBE. I'm of the mind that our body does need rest.

    I rested on the days I played squash this week - Wednesday and Friday. I do that in the morning so I still felt like it was a rest day since I didn't work out after work. I walk about 40 minutes a day to get to work and back too, so the days don't feel like lost ground.

    I'm trying for the following on each level:

    3 days Shred
    1 rest day
    4 days Shred
    1 rest day
    3 days Shred

    I plan to incorporate some type of cardio 4-5 days a week along with the shred.
    Hopefully that will make up for my rest periods during the Shred cardio sessions. :)
