And it will be free upgrade for everyone who already owns and plays Zombies, Run! Starts with seven missions, and then three per week going forward.0
-
Woo-hoo! I'm pleased to hear it will be free, it was a pricey app to start with0
-
I am sooooo excited!!! I haven't finished season 1 yet, but still so glad there will be a season 2!0
-
Without giving away any spoilers.... Does the current story have an "ending" or is it left hanging for part 2?0

It's left hanging....like a damn soap opera at the end of a season. *kitten* kept me waiting months & months.0 -
According to their website, it looks like anything beyond the first seven missions requires a season pass that you'd have to purchase, it seems. Their blog is actually not super clear on it but here's the link:

I've actually not done ZR!1 yet. Starting with the 5k training first. About to end the 2nd week and super excited for my run in the morning!!0 -
From Zombies, RUN! Blog:
Launch day is almost upon us! …But then what?
The wait is almost over! Zombies, Run! 2 is just a matter of days away. Hours, really. Yes, we’re still on track to release on both iOS and Android on April 16th. We promised to keep you updated if anything changes and, thankfully, nothing has.
In case you didn’t see our previous post on the subject, Zombies, Run! 2 will be an update to your current Zombies, Run! app. Which means that if you already own Zombies, Run! you won’t have to purchase Zombies, Run! 2; you already have it!
This update includes seven missions from Season 2 - four story missions and three side missions. We know that some of you will blast through these quite quickly, but don’t worry. There’s plenty more where that came from!
The week of April 29th will mark the start of our weekly mission releases. We have over sixty missions in development right now which we’ll be making available at a rate of three a week. That’s two story missions and one side mission every week. All brand new. Buying a season pass will give you access to these as and when they become available.
Don’t worry, there’s no pressure to play them all as soon as they’re released. Once they’re out, they’re yours to play whenever you want.
So prepare yourselves, because if you thought Zombies, Run! Season One was intense, you ain’t seen nothing yet…0 -
I am really excited about this! I have just started using Zombies, Run and I had just about decided to hold off on those missions and do the 5k app before continuing, but now I want to catch up on everything so I can be up to date and get the new story with everyone else. Eeek! I can't run that much all at once. :-) The podcast sounds fun too but I suppose I will have to hold off listening to it in case of spoilers.
I love this app so much...it actually makes me want to get out there and move.0 -
Today is the day. I'm waiting .... I'm holding my breath. I wanna use it tomorrow. I'm sick of season 10
-
Just downloaded the update for iPhone.0
-
They've finally released the update.
I've lost the ability to complete the supply missions I've not completed yet.
You have to buy the new missions.
Missions (even old ones) have to be downloaded individually before you can play them.
The build your base thing that I wasn't interested in now appears more convoluted.
There appears to be nothing new about the actual running aspect, we shall see later. I can only hope 4 and 8 are dead. Especially 8.0 -

You install the update, the payment is requested in the news section of the updated app when you run it.0 -
Yay!!! I just saw the update in my iPhone and downloaded. Now I'm itching to go for a run0
-
Wait, what? Downloading the update locks all unfinished supply missions? Is this true?0

They've disappeared from my list. Android.0 -
Thanks for checking that.
Since I haven't finished Season 1 yet, I might hold off on doing the update then. I like having Supply Runs available for when I don't have time for a full workout but still want to get a run in.0 -

I had only done 2. Both completed and uncompleted have disappeared. I was going to save them for when I got ahead of the story (3 a week isn't enough).
So unless they fix this, I'm going to get stuck.0 -
I'll have to try the first mission again. More chases, faster zombs meant I ran out of room and time (40 mins into my 30 min workout).0

I just updated to season 2 (free) and bought the season pass for the new releases ($4.99 for the most expensive package since they are all 50% off this week). I'm happy to pay since they give me hours of entertainment, get my but off the sofa, and deserve to be crazy rich for being so clever.
I'm totally geeking out right now. I can't wait to go running.0 -
Is anyone else having problems with their website account since the update was released...? I can't log in.0
-
Meh...my update caused crashing constantly. Had to uninstall & reinstall....lost EVERYTHING. Now not even the base on the site loads for me. I paid for the season pass & am pissed that there are only a few missions released each week...I do more than one a day sometimes so this is going to annoy me. I also hate the fact it slowed my phone to a crawl...an I had to download each mission.
Yeah so not only WAS I looking forward to running today with it.... but each time I open it & TRY to start a mission it crashed.0 -
That's a shame. Mine constantly crashes, but not during the one time I played.
I had a few items that I'd not yet used, I think for functionality of the new game, that's all that you have lost.0 -

I have no problem buying something, I do that almost every day obviously.
However, I had read on the official site, that I would not have to pay for Zombies, Run 2 because it would be an update. They neglected to mention the need to pay for content.
"Here's the new update FREE! (ha ha, but you'll have to pay if you want any missions to do!)"
Forum rules don't allow me to communicate how I feel about that approach to consumers.0 -
Their whole Free-if-you-already-have-it/ No-you-have-to-pay thing confused me too. And yes it was an expensive app to start with and now it's expensive again. But audiobooks are $30-50 and they don't get me to run. So I'm happy. If my money keeps them in business, it's worth it.
So EXCITED to run today! Been waiting for months to hear what happened!
Also someone was annoyed they are releasing it slowly. They claimed it was to keep us all together so we can discuss the storyline without worrying about spoilers. Kind of like a tv show. Interesting Idea. Not sure if I like it or not. We'll see.0 -
Well, damn...I just went to upgrade to 2, but it's not compatible with my Galaxy player...which only has Android 2.3.6 or something. And I'm too cheap to pay the monthly fee for a smartphone.
Looks like I'm stuck with the original for awhile.0 -
The Zombies, Run! blog has a short FAQ on Season 2, for anyone who's interested. They're talking about he loss of the Season 1 base, the crashing, and a few other things that might interest people here as well.

I didn't like how now the Missions now have a "summary" below them... much preferred it when the next mission is only revealed after the completion of the one before. e.g. I now know what is gonna take place in S1 Mission 21 when all I've completed is S1 Mission 8. Feels like a spoiler to me :frown:
Part of me wishes that I didn't update - should have waited till I finish up with S1 before taking the next step... but ah well, since I've already done it, am looking forward to playing it (after am done with Z5K, that is!), and I know I'll it.
Quick question(s): does anyone knows whether it's possible to collect supplies & materials to build the base by playing S1 missions? If not, does that mean those who never done S1 and wish to do it 1st would have to wait till S2 to do anything construction?0
