I'm thinking I should take a calcium/magnesium one for sure, only thing I am taking is a probiotic right now. I heard Biotin can give you acne? I am a major sufferer of acne( until I went paleo, it went away!!! )0
-
I never heard that! If I start getting acne, I'm totally stopping it! I just want to grow my hair out. lol0

Yes I heard its great for hair and your skin, but then I saw reviews where people broke out bad...scares me!!! lol...but sounds like it won't do that to you!0 -
I currently take:
Woman's Once-A-Day Multi-Vitamin
Biotin (also have not experience acne, and I have been taking this for years)
B-12
You make a good point regarding calcium as I do not eat dairy either. Maybe I should start... I also need to start upping my veggies that have calcium like broccoli.
What is 5-HTP?0 -
I started taking calcium because my teeth were getting sensitive. It made sense because I haven't had diary in over a year.
5-HTP aids in setotonin production in the brain. Helps maitain a positive attitude and in weight loss.0 -
Intersting - I have never heard of 5-HTP! I will have to check it out at the stores to see if it's readily available. Thanks for the tip!0

I take Glucosamine with Chondroitin and MSM. I'll have to look into the 5-HTP!0

multivitamin
glucosamine
Lots of Vit D3 &K
omega 3's
and CoQ10.
Almost all (omegas and CoQ10 = costco) come from nutrametrix. very expensive powder but I feel an actual difference0 -
I only take liquid vitamin D3 and K2. I live in the Arctic. Other than that, I've experimented a lot with vitamins over the years and I think that they are mostly ineffective and secreted out of our bodies. Of course it's ideal to get our nutrients from food.0

Magnesium (otherwise I get upperback/neck soreness/tightness)
Cod Liver Oil
Vit E
I also take D3 if it's cloudy/rainy for a long stretch (like a week at a time!).
Coconut water when I need electrolytes (rather than a potassium supplement)0 -
I just take a few now. I need to add in a multi vitamin I'm sure.
Fish Oil
B12
BCAA0 -
My supplement list is embarrassingly large. I only do it mostly to just self experiment and see if I can see any differences. So far, the only supplement I will continue to use indefinitely, based on results, is Calcium/Magnesium. I'll probably continue taking vitamin C and D3/K2 also because it's cheap enough and you can't have too much C and I'm indoors too much to getting enough D.
The list of supplements on my shelf at the moment:
"Super Cortisol Support"
Kelp (iodine)
Fish Oil
Tri-Chromium
Vitamin D3/K2
Vitamin C
Vitamin E
Potassium Citrate
Calcium/Magnesium
A multivitamin
I know. Ridiculous. I have a supplement fetish, I think. I am stopping with all supplementation, next week except the C, D/K, and Calcium/Magnesium, though.0 -
