20 weeks today. Half way there!!!!!!!!!!

I have only bought one thing, which was the travel system, and the only reason I bought that so early was because TOys r us was having their annual " 25% off if you trade in an old one" sale and I waited until the last day of the sale. I can always return it if I need to. Otherwise I am waiting until after 24 weeks at least. I say do what you feel!!!

Does anyone ever go to bed hungry? If not, what snacks do you prefer to get you through the night? Applesauce and boxed rice cereal (Rice Krispies) with milk are my favorites.

I definitely dont go to bed hungry. I still get nauseaus if I dont eat every few hours, so I have some greek yogurt with a little fiber one cereal mixed in.

    22 +1 and up 16.8lbs

I feel like that's not too bad, and appears to be on target with the recommended 30ish pound healthy weight gain but I feel and look MUCH larger than that number.

I was incredibly lazy and exhausted the whole first trimester and so have not exercised like i should. I'm getting very self conscious and want to remain fit and pregnant so I am starting back again today with commitment to 5 miles a week. I know that's not a lot - I used to do 5 miles a day but I don't want to over exert myself. I will build up to walking more when I feel my body can handle it again.

    Feel free to friend me!

I think that is a great goal! I am 22+5 and have gained almost the exact same amount. I usually exercise about 3x a week, but am also struggling with it. We can do this :)

I'm due July 30 with a boy. I have 6 other kids ranging from 2 to (almost) 18. I was obese prior to getting preggers so am trying to control ye olde weight gain during the pregnancy. I have gained about 3 lbs so far at almost 22 weeks. It all came on at once, so I'm scared I'm just going to gain more and more and more and....

Best of luck to all of you!

    Hi Ladies!

I'm at 26 weeks and have put on 16 lbs. I'm mentally preparing for the next few months as all I am reading about says this is when my little booger grows the most.

Started back at the gym as I am wearing the same pants size (in maternity) but am feeling flabby in the arms and legs. Plus I hear it helps with labor and god knows I need all the help I can get!!! Also back to tracking food.

Good luck staying happy and healthy! :)

I'm 26 weeks today, and up 5 lbs.

I had been working out and logging pretty consistently for two years, and my weight hadn't changed all that much (other than the initial drop). My body composition however had changed a LOT, especially since starting heavy lifting.

Turns out the wine was probably to blame for the lack of movement on the scale. ;)

Saw the doctor yesterday, and everything is healthy and going smoothly.

I'm popping over from June....Tums extra strength is the only thing that helps my heartburn once I have it. Preventing it by drinking lots of water and avoiding acidic foods/drinks is the only other thing I can recommend.
  • We are due 7/6/13 and couldn't be happier! Stick with MFP through the entire pregnancy has been easier than I thought

    Due July 30. :)

I didn't gain weight forever because I was so sick. Now I realize that I need to go back to tracking calories/exercise because it's coming on too fast (less than 5 lbs still, but I am only supposed to gain 11-15).

    Wish me luck! I'M HUGE!

Update: just about four weeks since I posted this and I am proud to say I have stuck to my exercise goals of AT LEAST 5 miles a week but have been doing more like 7-12 miles and have increased my speed and can run again (for no more than 5 minutes or I think the pain I feel is BH so I slow down again)

I would love more prego friends! 26 weeks prego this week, Add me :)

    pregnancy weight tracker:
    starting: 114 lbs, 5'2''
    cumulative gain:
    10 weeks: - 1.0 lbs
    11 weeks: - 0.5 lbs
    13 weeks: + 0.0 lbs
    14 weeks: + 0.5 lbs
    15 weeks: + 2.5 lbs
    16 weeks: + 3.0 lbs
    17 weeks: + 3.5 lbs
    18 weeks: + 3.0 lbs
    19 weeks: + 4.0 lbs
    20 weeks: + 4.5 lbs
    21 weeks: + 5.0 lbs
    22 weeks: + 6.0 lbs
    23 weeks: + 7.0 lbs
    24 weeks: + 7.0 lbs
    25 weeks: + 9.5 lbs
    26 weeks: + 12 lbs

I am not sure what I expected, given how poorly I have been eating... but two weeks in a row of +2.5lb gain is not in my plan. So far I have tracked everything I ate today... hoping to turn things around and return to a more manageable 1lb/week gain for the remaining weeks.

I can only escape the heartburn if I take tums/rolaids before a meal that I know will trigger it. And even then I still may have it hours later! Good luck!
