Hello all! What an awesome challenge. I am currently stalled (no weight loss in the past 3 weeks). This may be what I need to get over that hurdle.
I am 48 years old and in Aug 2011 I had gastric banding at 380 pounds. I have lost just under 130 pounds when I get to a loss of 150 pounds I am going to have my first tattoo done.
Starting Weight: 251.7
Goal Weight: 231 (or lower)
Lofty goal but it can be done. Good luck everyone!
Not a good 2 weeks. I had a gain. First gain since i started this journey. Oh well, the scale will not define me! It's just a number.

It might be to much of a goal, but I see family at the end of June who have not seen me in three years, so I'd like them to be shocked!0 -

Does anyone have any plans for how they are going to celebrate if they reach their goal or how they might 'punish' themselves otherwise if you like?
I think I'll buy a new bathing suit if I reach my goal.
And as I said before, I'll punish myself with no facebook for a week and no TV/Movies for a month so I can focus on doing more moving.

It's that time of the month for me, so I'm bloated and all that fun stuff. No problem though! Still going to the gym at least 3 days a week0 -
Okay I am so totally in. I am pregnant (35 weeks) baby due on May 30.
I will be 1 year post op on June 4, 2013. So for me it is going to be a challenge.
I have been able to maintain my weight at 179.6. I want to get to 160 by July 4, 2013.
With breastfeeding and working out I think it is a realistic goal.
Any thoughts????

Hey Everyone. Im new on here. Been using MFP for a year or two now but have no friends for motivation, that use the app. I had Sleeve gastrectomy about 7 months ago. Ive lost 75-80 pounds and have basically stopped losing weight. I need y'alls tricks and tips to get motivated and get to losing more weight. Starting weight in Sept 2012 was 347 and as of today May 2013 im at 264.
Any suggestions and help would be great. I need accountability!!!0 -

Goal: 130 and maintain and continue to walk 2 miles at 5:30am to walking dvd, 100 or more squats a day, go to the gym to workout for cardio and weight machines 3-4 times a day.
4/18/13 130.20 loss of 1 pound. .20 pounds from my personal goal weight!
Walked 2 miles at 5:30 M-F the last week, 100 squats done daily and went to the gym Thursday, Sat, Monday, Tuesday and today Thursday doing cardio and weight machines. Met with the trainer at the gym Tues after my workout to change it up some since I have been doing the same cardio and weight machines for three months now. Will start the new workout program today after work!
4/25/13 129.80 pounds loss of .40 pounds. Made my personal goal weight of 130 and now just working on maintaining it. If I loose more that is ok but not really working on loosing anymore at this point.
I have been doing 125 squats a day and went to the gym Sat and Monday so far this week due to out of town work trips on Tues and Wed. Gonna try to get there today afterwork and then one day of this weekend. I like the new workout program I am doing with the weights and machines along with the mix of cardio. Takes a little longer since I am going all over the gym now versus just going down the line of weight machines. Been doing 40 minutes of my walk at home dvd now for 3 miles but only was able to do it Mon and Tues this week due to work trips.
5/2/13 129.80 loss of 0 pounds which is ok since my goal is 130 and I am maintaining at this point. I have been continuing my 125 squats a day and went to the gym Sat., Tues and will go today and Sat again. Still doing my at home workouts in the morning too! Loving life!0 -

5/9/13 130 gain of .2 pounds, which is ok since I am working on maintence and want to be at 130. I am playing around with how many cals to eat a day also at this point so this will make a differenct too. I went to the gym just Wed this week and didn't get there Sat after my stomach pain incident Friday evening at dinner out. I plan on going to gym Fri of this week too and Sunday, Tues and Thurs of next week. I am not going to do as much cardio now and focus more on strength training and less reps but more weight per my bariatric physical therapist that I met with who went over my DXA scan. My body fat is 24% per the scan which is fitness level but I would like to lower it a few %'s if possible. So that is my goal along with maintaining at 130.0 -

5/16/13-weight was 128.2 loss of 1.80 pounds. In mantience now so as long as I stay under 130-135 I am happy. Stopped doing the 30 min walk to dvd at 5:30am M-F. Doing my at home strength training routine at 7am M-F. Went to gym Fri, Mon and will tonight for 1 1/2-2 hours with mainly strength training weight machines with cardio. Bought a bike last week and rode it Tuesday night. Gonna try to ride it daily if weather is good.0 -

5/23/13-weight was 129.2 up one pound. In mantience now so as long as I stay under 130-135 I am happy. Doing my at home strength training routine at 7am M-F. Went to gym Thurs, Mon and today for 1 1/2-2 hours with mainly strength training weight machines with cardio. Rode bike Thurs night, Friday 1/2 hour at lunch time, 45 min Friday evening, 1 hour Sat, 1 hour Sun, 45 min Wed evening and will ride 1-2 hours today since I am off work on vacation. Start dog agility training class tonight too so I will doing alot of running then too! I hope my bad knee can handle it. Loosing this weight should help it alot when twisting and turning while running the course with ZOOM!0 -

5/30/13- weight was 126.4 lost 2.8 pounds! Not wanting to loose anymore at this point. Strange I ate cheesecake three times over the holiday weekend and posted a loss! Went to gym Fri and today. Rode bike Fri, Monday for 15 miles and Wed for 8 miles. Still focusing on strength training at gym and only about 20 minutes of cardio there. Agility class with ZOOM! was fun tonight and I was able to do a bunch of front crosses. Before I could never do them due to my bad knee and weighing 270 pounds. Running and doing the crosses is so much easier at 126 pounds!0 -

I hope its ok if I jump on board late to this challenge! I'm new to MFP and new to being lapbanded (Banded 4/24/13) I was just cleared for exercise and I'd like to keep some loss momentum going.
