I am new to this group and am excited to get started. I have been so called dieting since the first of the year. Did weight watchers, lost 12 pounds, lost my motivation and then gained 7 pound of my 12 back. Someone told me about MFP and I have been doing for about a month, but not faithfully. So here is my starting weight. 251.4, so hopfully by next tuesday I will be at 249.4.0

so far (before joining MFP) i have lost about 9 lbs, still need to lose about 6 more to reach my goal ,but seem to be in a "slump" i will def try to do this....does anyone else find themselves checking their weight daily? i feel addicted to the scale0

KP556 - I know what you mean about being addicted to the scale - but it's a slippery slope. I'm going to try to put the scale away and only bring it out on Tuesdays.0 -

Yeah, I love getting on that one too..but as long as it shows me what i want to see, the number going DOWN:grumble: I weight my self about twice a week and I always keep in mind that if it went up, it's water retention or food waste. I blame it on those only if I've been a good girl, because we know what being naughty means..:grumble: :laugh:
I do tend to start weighing more when the scale has been moving very slooooowly ....0 -

I know what you mean. I have been working out and watching my eating. Lets see on Tuesday0 -
I had to move my scale so I wouldn't be tempted - keep doing things right and it will all be worth it. I think it helps to keep me motivated to not weigh myself daily. If I saw progress, I might 'ease up' on what I do or eat - which wouldn't help.
What a vicious cycle!

So far today I have been doing pretty good. I have kept under my calorie total and got in some riding of the bike for 30 min. Didn't get my weight lifting in because the gym was closed for Saturdays now. I forgot that and wished I had gone last night and got it in. Oh well. Just have to get the time in during the week now. Hoping for that that one pound by Tuesday and if a miracle happens, 2 pounds. See you alll later!0

Haven't weighed yet. Saving that for tomorrow. Got my exercise in and am watching the food intake. The last is the hard part especially at work no less.:bigsmile:0
