Log exercise also with MFP?

When using the Fit, do you also log the calories burned as an entry in MFP in the exercise section, or should you just be working off of the Fit sync numbers? For example, my elliptical workout this morning said I burned 585 calories (on the machine) and the Fit said I burned 300. Whatever, it is what it is. But do I manually add that 585 to MFP like I did in the past before I had the Fit?

You can log your exercise for your tracking purposes but it will adjust your Fit sync numbers. At the end of the day it doesn't matter, the total calorie burn will be the same. For example, when I click on the little "i" next to my fit sync in exercise it lists the body media total burned for the day and then the MFP number and if you have added exercise it will include that, then it subtracts the two to make the adjustment. So your adjustment will be smaller if you log your exercise. I personally like to log my exercise so i know how I burned the calories and to keep a log of what I have done, but it is not necessary just for a calorie calculation.0

Thanks for the explanation! I like to log the exercise, simply because I've been doing it so long and it is habit for me. Also, the calorie burn shows up in my social timeline also!0

Some people will log the exercise on MFP and give it a 1 calorie burn. That way you can track it and you don't have a ton of adjustments going on.0

Where is the little "i" you click on? Is it in an app or on the website in your activity manager?0 -

the "i" is in mfp online in the exercise tab. on the mfp app you can just click on the body media adjustment line in your diary and it will give you the same info.0
