Hi, I'm Kat from Toronto Canada. I'm just starting to run longer then 10k and hopefully do my first half this September. I'm trying to learn better nutrition and cross training to meet my goals.
Feel free to add me0 -
Hi,
My name is Ade - I live in London. I started running "properly" in November 2012 after rashly signing up for the London Marathon with zero miles under my belt!
I did actually run (and even finish) the race - but now looking to improve speed and strength over shorter distances (5, 10k and half marathon) before attempting another one. I average about 20 miles a week when not specifically training for a race.
I can generally run about 8 miles happily, and get to about 12 before I start questioning my sanity. Its all downhill from there ...0 -
Hey guys.
Would love some new friends.
My name is Caroline and I'm a 19 year old college student from Texas.
Started running seriously about 9 months ago, though I've made pretty slow progress and backtracked a few times. Ran my first 5k in November and I'm running my second this Sunday! After that, I plan to run a 10k sometime in the fall.
I'd love new friends who are passionate about running! Add me if you like.0 -
Hi! I'm Jenne. I've been running on and off for about 23 years. I've never seriously stuck to a proper training plan or increased my miles in a way that will help me, so I have decided that this is the year I will start becoming a better runner. I've DNFed the same marathon twice at mile 20 (with no intentions of trying that one a third time, no matter how fast I get) and I finished the Green Bay Marathon in 2010. I also finished the Austin Half Marathon in 2012. I've done countless 5Ks, a few 10Ks, two 11Ks, and one 15K. I hope to run a 10K in under an hour by the end of the year and I want to run the Disney Goofy Challenge either next year or the year after.
I'm working on getting my weekly base mileage to 40 MPW or above, my body fat to about 19%, and my speed to Boston-fast. I'm using Maffetone-style low (aerobic) heart rate training, which is very interesting on the hills I run on.
I live in Texas, I'm vegan, and I also love Ashtanga yoga.0 -
Hi all - I'm Sue and have been running off/on for about 25 years. In the last three years I've become addicted to running and have logged quite a few half-marathons and even a marathon in March. I'm registered for Chicago in October. I've been running my long distances using Galloway's run/walk method and love it - it actually helped me to improve my overall times - even though I'm pretty slow. I have a half PR of 2:13 and have a goal of under 2:10 - but am rebuilding those times after a hip injury last year.
In the mean time, I'm trying to drop a few more pounds and strengthen my upper body (any suggestions for at-home strength training will be appreciated!) Would love new running friends!0 -
Hello, I'm Hannah. I live in France and I love running the trails around here. I have run a few races a half-marathon and two 15k's. I would love to do a trail marathon this year. But more than running races I just like to run and get that quiet time. For me to be able to run the race is just icing on the cake.0

Hi all,
I'm Symone, 26 and from London, U.K. I started running a month after beginning my weight loss in July 2011 and love it! Running has been one my main exercises to help burn off my excess fat and develop my fitness - its my gold standard.
I've done too many to count 5ks, about ten 10ks, two 15ks and one 20k (just short of a half marathon, I know but I had a reason I couldn't go any further). I'm looking do my first half marathon within the next two weeks which I'm ready for but am also training myself towards the full distance by the end of July for my 2 years anniversary of starting to run.
Right now I am really motivated and dedicated towards these goals so please add me if your serious too as I get inspiration and motivation from others.
P.S. I also sometimes host a walk/run 120 miles a month challenge if anyone is interested in joining in the future, it really has helped me get back on track recently. June's challenge will be posted from next week but this is what others I've done look like.

Hi!
I'm Thomas from Yakima, Washington, I started running 4 years ago weighing in at 265lbs and now at 185. I could barely run to the fridge back then and now have 4 marathons under my belt and several halfs. Still have a bit of weight to lose, so glad to find some like minded people who love running. Feel free to add me, I could use some people for support and motivation and hopefully can offer some back!0 -
Hello All, My name is Kyle.
Signed up for a Spartan Race around Christmas 2011 . The small one! 5k +/-
Had not run since early high school. Then only in phys ed class.
I had lost a little over 70 lbs when I registered for the race and I started training Jan 1 2012.
I had so much fun training and running the Spartan I was hooked. After the Spartan I did a couple of 5ks then a couple of 10ks and registered for a winter half in October. Trained outside all winter and ran my first half this past Feb.
Next stop is a full marathon! I have registered for the Montreal marathon this coming Sept.
This *kitten* is getting serious! :-)0 -
I started running last may. I have completed 2 1/2 marathons(one in sept one in march) I am registered for the chicago marathon in October0

Hey! I'm Dennis from Chicago. I am training for my fourth Chicago Marathon. I run with Team World Vision to raise funds for clean water initiatives in Africa. I have been blessed with having raised over $10,000 which has provided clean water for over 200 children. This year, I'm a team captain and help lead a group of over 200 runners. I just set a personal record of 1:20:31 for a 10 mile race. I am hoping to acquire a USTAF coaching certification before the end of the year and running my first Ultra Marathon (54 miles) by next summer.

Hi I'm Joy. I'm 32 and I just started running about 16 months ago as part of my efforts to recover from a spinal cord injury. So far I've logged over 1600 miles running, and have lost over 100 pounds in the process. I ran my first half marathon April 2013 and am training for the Philly full marathon which is November 2013. I didn't think I was a distance running but maybe I am? :-)0

Been running for a while. Plenty of half marathons, one full, 10 milers and 10K. Lots of trail runs from10 to 25k. Run three times a week at least with a long run on the weekend. A heavy HIIT weight workout once a week and a yoga session I am just getting into as well. Looking forward to hanging out with other runners from around the world!0

Hello, my name is Marlene. I have been a runner now just about a year. I decided to run when I was challenged to run a 1/2 marathon last year. Because I am so competitive, I took the challenge and now I am addicted to running. LOL I run 4-5 times a week, and also love doing Pilates every week. I plan to run my second half marathon this September and one day will build up to run a full. Feel free to friend me for daily support.0

Hey everybody! I'm Fábio , 26, from Brazil. I start running with seriously 14 months ago. I usually run 4 times a week or how my spreadsheet training tells me to run .. I already ran some 10k's race and just one with 5k. In 27 April I did 26 yr so to celebrate I ran 26k and that was my longest run, so far...
The next goal gonna be in 30 Jun, officially my first half-marathon.
Just feel free to add my runners friends.0 -
Not sure if this is where I fit...I started running 1 1/2 years ago at the age of 59. With a challenged 5k that I walk and trotted through. Since then I built up and by 6 months had run 10-10ks in a month plus my milage. I have run 2-1/2 marathons.I am not fast but I do better than average I think for my age. I run only on dirt to save on my joints so do not find many races in my area to join...but who needs another tshirt or medal,Irun for the joy of running!! So today may be a 10k next sat might be a 1/2 mary????? I live in the Eastern Sierras of Calif. HOT in summer but great for year round running.0

Oy, just realized I never introduced myself...
My name's Aileen and I live in Connecticut. I used to run xc and track in high school, but I wasn't a distance runner, I was a jumper. Thanks to the pounding, my arches collapsed, knees hurt, coaches had me in stability shoes, and I quit running. Fastforward 12 years to 2012 and I got a pair of VFFs and started running again--pain-free. Last year I ran two 5Ks, a 10K, 2 mud runs, and a half marathon. So far this year I've run a half marathon, have a 10K tomorrow, and am signed up for other races, including my first marathon in October.0 -

My name is Martika (: I will be running my third marathon this year and use this app as motivation. Looking for fun recipes, workouts, and members to keep this positive energy going! Samantha, just a smidge north of Dallas. High school track drop out, anti-athlete. I started running just over three years ago. I ran my first full marathon in October, my second in December, my first half in Feb, and my first 10k in June (because I pretty much do everything backwards :-P )
I just started training for Detroit again and am excited to see how much I've learned and improved over a year.0 -
My name is Jeff, I have ran 20 or so 5ks, a marathon a part of a relay team and most recently completed my first half marathon May 13. Looking forward to seeing and sharing information with fellow runners.0

I'm Tim. I started running when I was about 21 years old. i could barely make it to the end of the block. That was a very long time ago. Lately, I cannot run because of plantar fasciitis -- the result of too much soccer in addition to the running.
I love running hills much more than long flats.0 -
Hello all, this is Paul from Houston. I hope I am posting right....it says "reply"....didn't see a "post" message anywhere?!?!?
I have ran 5 marathons and several halfs during training. Last one was Big Sur and hoping to break 4 hours next year on Houston marathon. So I got me a sports nutritionist to help knock some body fat off this year and started tracking my food and exercise on MFP. Right now I am sitting on 21% :-(. Would like that to get to about 15%. Thoughts???
Anyway, Looking forward to reading your ideas and stories on this board.0
