Hi all,
I found this site yesterday and thought it might be helpful: http://helpguide.org/mental/binge_eating_disorder.htm .
There is also a link on this site about emotional eating: http://helpguide.org/life/emotional_eating_stress_cravings.htm
I'm so happy to have found this group. Fits me, unfortunately. It's good to know there is help out there.0 -

Wow, thanks!
I quite like this one (I have not gone through all posts under this thread...hopefully not redundant).

Nice site, has a lot of information! Thanks0 -
I know this thread has been inactive for awhile, but stumbling across it today I just had to comment. The sites listed are all great so far...and I'm walking away with a little more confidence that I can overcome my BED. Thanks all!!0

Thanks all, am definitely going to look at these resources. Just realizing I belong in this group, no idea there was so much info out there about BED and emotional eating.0

Recommend this page and then search for the 2 subjects below. Part A helped me to understand the binge / purge cycle. Working through Part B now. Nearly every point has been spot on with what my therapist has been telling me.

I think Molly originally shared this with the group in one of the other threads, but I feel the need to post it here because I think it was excellently written.

She's very honest and open about the struggle. I found myself relating to 90% of what she shared. The blog post made me consider things I normally don't think about, I found myself reflecting on the binge mindset and triggers (something I don't always stop and evaluate because it makes me uncomfortable).
The best way to recover from the disordered habits is to practice self awareness and dig deeper! This is why I love article 1 & 2. I'm sharing in hopes it will also resonate with someone else, or at least help you see that you're not alone.0
