I dnt own any weights and cnt afford to get any right now so will be using a can of veggies for each hand. I know that cnt be more than what..a pound in each hand. Will it still be as effective..or even worth doing the shred?

When I first started it the very first time I did not have weights at all, I still did the movements, then I added cans! I think some weight is better than none. PS I found my weights at the dollar store! No joke! 2 bucks and I had weights!0

I was going to ask about weights.. I use 5 & 3 lb hand weights (Sadly.. depending on the move).
What does everyone else use??0 -

Same as you, and the 5 pounders are killers! Especially during those V lift ones.0 -

Yeah the 5lbs ones are really hard on some of the moves.
Squat presses and Hand Raise Lunges.. I start with 5lb but always have to switch.
But, Static lunge bicep curl and Chest fly's.. ABSOLUTELY!! =D
Not sure what you mean by V lift..0 -

I'm probably calling it the wrong thing but it's in workout 2. She does a chair squat with what I think is called a V lift. Hands at your waist, palms forward and lift up to your eye level. They are painful.0 -
Yes I remember parts of Workout 2.
Pretty sure that's the Squat w/ Wide Row
Will definitely be using the 3lbs on those =D0 -
I also have 3 lb and 5 lb weights for the video. I will probably keep it at 3 lb for a few days.0
