Vitamins and Supplements?

I am going to be starting Ideal Protein in the next week or two and the spa that I am going to want you to buy vitamins and other supplements every 4 weeks, is this the same everywhere? This place has a great reputation, etc, and I want to go there but I am going to ask if buying the vitamins are mandatory as it about another $80 every 4 weeks I think..

    Hi there,

I've been to two different places that work with IP and they both sell the vitamins to go with it. The vitamins are mandatory, Read this as to why: http://www.ihpweightloss.com/Notes/Patient_Resources/Weight_Loss_Library/Ideal_Protein_Supplement_Overview.pdf

It is expensive, and I've tried to sneak in comparable vitamins to keep the cost down, but I can feel the difference. i get headaches, dizziness. I wouldn't mess around with trying to find a cheaper alternative at this point.

Good luck., its hard but it works!

    Best,

    Hi Sharon,

The very last part of that url got cut off. What is the last piece of it after _supplement_O ? ? ?

and, OP, try to put that $80 into prospective. It's less than $3 per day. Folks easily spend that amount on soda, or Starbucks, or vending machine items per day. When I share with coworkers or friends that I'm on IP, immediately price gets brought up. I say, well it's a lot more expensive to have hypertension, or diabetes, or high cholesterol, etc.. Besides I am so worth it!

I really hope that you you're not deterred by the expense of the vitamins, because you are so not going to regret it.

Feel free to friend me and I will gladly give you moral support. :)

It's getting cut off after I paste the entire URL in, put in a hard break to see if that helps.
  • No, I am not put off by the cost of the vitamins I just need to wait a few weeks to ensure I have the funds upfront :) I am very much looking forward to starting..

My coach isn't entirely thrilled with me, but if I start getting low, sometimes I will take half-doses of the multivitamin or the cal/mag to help spread them out. I have it arranged now so that I usually only have to replace 1 bottles of something different every week. That $20/week gets averaged into the weekly costs and doesn't hit me as a lump sum each month.
