Was inspired by LisaOnAMission007 about making fat bombs. After researching a bit I found a basic recipe that I wish to share:

● 3/4 cup coconut oil
● 1/2 cup unsalted butter
● 2 tablespoons unsweetened creamy almond butter
● 3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
● 2 tablespoons Splenda or equivalent sweetener
● Flavoring extracts of your choice, to taste
● Optional: A few tablespoons of add-ins, like shredded coconut or chopped nuts

I made mine with only the coconut oil, unsalted butter, crunchy almond butter (store didnt have creamy...), cocoa powder, and EZ-Sweetz liquid sugar to cut down the Carbs. I also bought a 24 count mini cupcake baking tray and mini cupcake liners

Makes 24 servings (2 Tbsp per serving) and macros after inputting into MFP per serving were:

102 calories, 11g fats, .7g Carbs, .2g Protein

Do you just combine the ingredients and then freeze them? How did they taste?

Combined all the ingredients in a pan on low heat. Stirring constantly.

I put mine in the fridge because I haf no room in freezer. it all turned to solid due to the coconut oil.

Lets just say I'll be chugging evoo less often. Stuff tasted amazing!

Just made my first batch. Delicious! I'm in love with them!

    Here's the recipe I followed:

    1 TBSP cream cheese

    1 TBSP heavy whipping cream

1 TBSP natural, unsweetened creamy peanut butter

1 TBSP 90% cocao chocolate chips

    10 drops vanilla creme stevia

I actually made a huge batch; 8x all of the above, mixed together in a bowl, and then divided the batch into 8 mini cupcake liners and put it in the freezer. Yummy!

These recipes sound great! I have made cheesecakes and ice cream this weekend for fat snacks. I am nicely in ketosis too!

I think next week I will have to make some of these. I will be making almond butter...so that will work!

:) Thanks for the great ideas!

Skip the sweeteners and I am in! Can any nut butter do? I prefer hazelnuts.

I'd recommend entering this as a "recipe" in MFP and see where this falls for macros. The goal is to maximize fat and minimize carbs (and negligible protein). Not sure where hazelnuts fall in that spectrum. (If they are reasonable, I think you are potentially looking at a NUTELLA fat bomb).

Did I read somewhere that some people just throw one of these in their morning coffee? That sounds awesome. I seriously am dying here waiting to get paid tomorrow...i've been thinking about these all week.
