Howdy,

Any of you IPers use a Nike Band? Fit Band? I'm wondering if you deduct the calories burned (according to these tools) from your days total via the exercise function on MFP?

Best,
Sharon

I don't use either one of those at this time. I do yoga and pilates 2-3 times per week and I don't deduct calories, simply because I am in P1 and should not be burning a lot of calories. At least that is what my ip coaches have said. I know some folks on the forums have said that they add a packet if they are doing appreciable calorie burning.

Let me know how it's working for you. I mean, do you add proteins or carbs back in for certain calorie expenditures?

My coach told me the same thing, to add a packet if I was doing a workout that burned significant calories. I am not doing significant workouts. My NIke Fuel Band tells me how many calories I have burned daily, only about 600 over the course of the day. I am not adding those in during Phase 1 here on mfp, but when I go to phase 2 and beyond I do plan on exercising and logging calories burned from these workouts. The band helps me set and keep goals.

sdkyne - are the Nike Fuel Bands expensive? Where do you buy them?

Yeah, they are about $100. The FitBit is about the same, but I think it gives you better and more information.my Nike FuelBand came from a Nike store.
