Hello!
I was not sure if this group was for people over 40 years old or for people looking to lose over 40 lbs. So I joined anyways:) I am looking to lose about 95 more pounds within a year.

I was sick of what I saw in the mirror and hiding in pictures. I just joined a gym (it should be illegal how much I paid) $60 for an entire year for my family and I, my employer paid the rest of it. It's a small gym and classes are extra ($18 per class per quarter) but I've been whining that I couldn't afford a gym and I wanted to lift, so I'm doing what I can with what I have.
My motivation is what I see in the mirror, while I love my new body, with the weight loss comes flabby parts, I want them to go away!
I've also been running, my goal is to run an entire 5k on October 22, I've already registered and I'm working hard to reach that goal.0 -

I am trying to lose weight and get fit the "right" way by using MFP. I am not really concerned how fast i lose the weight. I just want to be super fit and healthy.
I really am into running and am planning to run my first 5K in years in November.
