If you were accurate with your activity, then it shouldn't be too much. Depending on how you were eating previously...you might see a little weight gain at first...but it will level out.
I am 5' 5" (190 lbs) and eat about 2050-2150 a day. That puts me at about a 350-450 deficit each day. It felt like a ton at first...but now I don't want it to drop even a little...I'm happy with it right there It took about a month of me not really knowing what I was doing, and then another month of fiddling with my numbers, but I think I finally found my sweet spot

Did you ever log how much you used to eat that got you into trouble, perhaps when not even exercising?
Or is the MFP suggestion and so many eating 1200 the only calorie levels you've ever seen prior to this?
If you never did, then really, how could you have any informed idea what seems high or low?
And you truly do only 1-3 hrs of exercise on top of an otherwise sedentary desk job 40 hrs with long commute, and on rear otherwise, no kids?
I will suggest though, with a BMR that high, you are likely starting with an inflated figure. The BMR formula based on age, weight, height, was based on study participants at healthy weight already and average ratio of fat mass to non-fat mass.
You probably have more bodyfat % than average, so that BMR based on age, weight, height is inflated.
Try this to see how close the Katch and Mifflin BMR really are. Help with activity level too.
