Ate a little over 1,500 calories yesterday..which I think should be a normal amount for me. I was a little bit hungry going to bed which I always think is a good thing. Why is it I feel guilty for eating 1,500 cals of all healthy food? This disordered eating is rough..the only thing I can do at this point is ignore it.0 -

I've been binge free for 9 days in a row. I honestly can't believe it. I've been experimenting with 5:2 and I think that has been a huge key to helping me overcome this. I started to want to binge but before I got too far into it (wouldn't even call it a true binge), my stomach was rebelling, and not in a way that I've ever felt before. We all know that once in a binge, a full tummy doesn't necessarily mean you'll stop. But this was different, I did stop! And haven't had another urge since then. I am continuing to "try" this new WOE as long as it seems to be helping me. So far, so good. I am really really happy with the results0 -

Hi! I'm joining the group a little late but I went through to tally what I considered my binge days vs. on track days. I have a question --do we consider days a binge day if we just feel like we got out of control, even if we didn't go all out.? For example, there are days that I do relatively well, then i get around a bag of chips and find myself grabbing small handfuls about 10 times,some how thinking that I'm staying in control. But afterwards, noticing I was out of control because I couldn't stop even after I told myself to stop after the second helping. So it's not a full out binge, but its that same out of control feeling.
Maybe I'm getting too technical. I guess if we feel bad about it it's probably a binge, right? Hope I didn't make that more confusing. :ohwell:

mindymh78: I also mark "overeating" when I feel I lost a bit of control, but didn't resort to an all-out binge. It's up to your personal preference, of course, but this works for me. Hope that helps0 -

Really bad last night...I was starving and literally thought to myself 'this is it, I think I need to give up'. I spoke with a friend later last night & started to feel stronger about the whole thing. She has similar challenges (not necessarily as disordered as mine) but I realized that I cannot be PERFECT all the time...mostly because my PERFECT doesn't exist and I would die if I stuck to it. Oddly, no urges today..except to work out, Today will be different.
I really feel like my weight is holding me back from things..but losing weight doesn't equal happiness..does it?0 -
