Hello, some stats to help.
age- 43
sw - 203
cw - 188

I'm switching out the sugar counts in my diary for calcium. Its currently set at the MFP 1000 right now. I'm already over for the day just from breakfast and post work out drink, and I didn't add my vitamins yet.
I'm 18 days into a weight lifting program, and would like some help on how much calcium I should consume daily?
Thanks!

DRI would suggest 800mg/day I believe.

Although having not looked into this, I have no idea how reliable that recommendation is.

Thanks, assuming you meant "Dietary reference intakes", I found this page with info: http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/Calcium-QuickFacts/#h5

States: 1000mg for adults 19-50. Going back in my diary, the ONLY days I have come close or over is when I drink a protein shake.

Really loving this weight lifting, already fell once and sprained a finger, don't want to break any bones lol

When I spoke to my doctor about this she says it depends also on whether you are vitaminD deficient - because that is what prevents synthesis of calcium.

    ^^yep.

    Vitamin D improves calcium absorption.
