I have lost 22 pounds since March (which I am so grateful) and have dropped 2 blouse sizes, but still wearing the same size pants! Can someone explain why this is happening? Please & thank you!!

I tend to gain/lose weight in my chest first, then my thighs, then my midsection.
Even when I'm at goal weight, I have to buy a size larger in pants and dresses because I have wide hips and big boobs. I have to buy to fit THAT size, then take it in at the waist otherwise my clothes would be too tight in the curvy parts.
It may be that your body just hasn't redistributed itself yet. Great job on being 22lbs down!0 -
Did you try smaller sizes in different styles/different stores? Maybe that store's sizing is jacked up.0

I agree with Gaby. Also, it can depend on where you carry your weight. I'm the dreaded apple shape. I zumba, climb stair machines and lift weights. I lost 16 pounds so far. I've been wearing the same size pants for the longest time. They are very slack in the legs but the waist is just "a little slack". On top I am noticeably smaller. I have from a 1-2x top down to 1x-XL top. I joke with myself that all the fat has dropped to my waist becasue of all the jumping I do in Zumba. But for real, I have lost around my middle (upper and lower), only my waistline is slow in getting the message. I Believe it is because of my apple shape. I probably carry 55 pounds alone in that area (want to lose 84lbs more to be in mid range for my height).
Keep doing what you are doing and the rest of you will catch up!0 -
Yup it is all in how you wear your weight and where you wear your weight.
I once lost inchsed in my things and my pants were baggy in the thigh area, but regular fitting around the hips and tummy area.
When you see those commericals that say things like "stubborn belly fat" it is true, that is some of the most difficult fat to loose, that and thigh fat. You will loose boobs before you loose that fat.
But as the other ocmmentor stated, keep at it, it will even out it will just take time.0 -
When I first started loosing weight it was the opposite. I was wearing a smaller pants size first because the arms on the smaller shirts were tight,0
