I think I had a dumping episode this morning! Its been years and years! Strange thing was, there was no sugar. I had a hard boiled egg, an ounce of cheese about 9:00. At 10:00 or so I ate a quest bar ( coconut cashew )and within a few minutes I was sweaty, nauseous and felt like I needed to nap. It lasted for about 30 minutes and then passed. I haven't dumped since 2010.
What do you guys think? There's only 4 net carbs in that protein bar and no listed sugar alcohols.....

I've heard a lot of people say that one day they started dumping again on things they've been able to eat for years. I still dump occasionally, it's just different than it was in the beginning. Like no throwing up, but stomach cramping or #3 (sorry TMI). I can't do protein bars either, but I don't know what it is that does it. I always thought they are really high in sugar, but you said this one doesn't have any. Sorry I can't provide any helpful info. :ohwell:0

I have never had a true dumping experience, but the quest bars cause my heart to race and make me sweaty. It's the sugar alcohols in them that do it to me. Sugar free candies with them do it too. I can usually eat regular sugar w/o much problem, unless you consider the high blood sugars because I am a type I diabetic.0

I have heard that some people have a dumping and/or high blood sugar issue from Quest bars. It seems to be the rather unique type of fiber they use. It's not a very common reaction at all, but it does happen.
I eat Quest bars daily, and have never had an issue. They have the best nutrition profile of any protein bar I have seen. But if they create this issue for you, you should stay away.0 -
Sometimes I have episodes while other times I don't by eating too much sugar. I can eat WW ice cream, but when it comes to "real" ice cream (as in ice cream stand ice cream), forget it. It usually makes me want to sleep right away. I did have sweating, shaking, lightheadedness a few weeks ago after taking a few bits of key lime pie. It didn't hit until about 1-2 hours later.
I also get pasta/rice stuck sometimes and have to make myself get it up. It usually happens when I'm eating one of them and then start sneezing.0
