Sherry, today's saying is so true and that's what I like about strength training.

Maureen enjoy the time with your son.

Today I did Abs, Elliptical and Treadmill walking.

Enjoy the rest of your workout week everyone!

Maureen, enjoy time with your son!

Donna, it was all me vs. me doing squats last night, for sure!

I hope all my DWOP Canucks have a great Thanksgiving! I don't know what the tradition is in your lovely country...but just mention of it makes this American long for turkey & cranberry sauce.

Today was a relatively down day for me. Scaling back today because my son is starting to get sick. This crazy schedule is not just MY busy schedule, but HIS too (poor guy--he's got more energy than anyone I know, but has trouble regulating it sometimes). He's on the verge of burnout, so we shortened the tutor time and skipped taekwon-do completely for him today. Also, I was stuck with an under-rested lil girl (she woke up too early), but it was rainy outside anyway (which brings up the question of what I'll do for running during the upcoming rainy season. I love running on the roads & sidewalks now, but in the rainy season I can barely walk on these slippery sidewalks due to all the city road silt & scum. I hate to go back to the park, but might have to on rainy days. Don't want to slip.) Anyway, I did the usual walking to/from school & tutor, but then a little extra effort when my lil girl fell asleep on the bus and I had to carry all 19kg of her 10 minutes uphill to home. Ugh! Tonight will be TUFF Upper Body.

Oh, Laura, I'll let **Donna or **Pam give you the lowdown on TUFF. I'm on my 2nd week and feeling great.

Have a good one everybody. I can almost see the weekend on the horizon!

*gasping for air* Just tried J.Michaels 30 Day Shred video. I had to do a lot of it without the weights (even using 2lb-ers), and had to nix a few seconds each round of jacks/jumproping because my knees threatened to give out, BUT I stayed with it pretty good. It definitely went faster than the Power 90 Sweat 1-2 vid, so I'm proud of myself. I don't know if I've ever sweat this much!
Might go for a walk when the hubby gets home since I've only gotten 2.9 miles today :]

*Maureen* Enjoy time with your son!

*Sherry* Hope you're son feels better!

*Donna* I hope I can one day be as motivated, dedicated as you!

I'm really bad with names so I already feel bad that I'm not going to keep anybody straight. I should have the introduction thread open in another window.

But for now, hello everybody! I see we've got visits with sons (awesome), sick sons (not so awesome) and some killer workouts, which I love to see.

Three mile run outside in the dark before work this morning (because I just couldn't face the treadmill) and leg/ab workout with my trainer after work. My trainer is out of town for a long weekend so I won't see him again until Wednesday, but I walked out of the gym with a long list of homework.

Laura TUFF is all about strength training with heavy weights which gives great results.
